Best boots I've ever owned
These boots are fantastic. Two years on after moderate use they are still waterproof and wearing extremely well. My wife has had a pair of these for four and a half years and they're still going strong. I went for a four hour walk the other day in the pouring rain and my feet were bone dry and toasty. They are very comfortable and as the name suggests they are super lite. Just an occasional clean and a dorbing with Nikwax keeps them tip top.Minor gripes: They took a few months to break in and the tread/soles are a little hard so you don't get a brilliant grip on some wet slippy surfaces. These are very minor though and most boots have these problems. Notes on sizing, they are a snug fit, I usually wear a ten but had to go to a ten and a half in these. If you're in the market for a quality boot these are well worth a try and I thoroughly recommend them.

An excellent boot - I'm glad I chose this brand
I was a little nervous buying this brand given some of the reviews.I started a new job that involves some mountain and wilderness trekking around Ireland. Though I'm due to get boots from work, I needed a stop gap. My first trip out, all I had were work boots which, despite having steel caps I now know are not waterproof. I was left with a dilemma, go for a really cheap brand or go with, what is to me, quite an expensive boot.I'm glad I went with the expensive boot.Putting on these boots, they envelop the foot in warmness - not too warm to be sweaty, just right. The size I got was a 12. I'm usually between an 11, 11.5 and 12 due to having a high instep - 12 fitted me perfectly. They are very light - all my other boots, from work boots to motorcycle boots to even ordinary 'fashion' boots - seem heavier.I've put these boots through some punishing scenarios - okay, only Summer and Autumn rain so far, but think very peaty/marshy trails up mountains, running streams and also rocky environments. They grip well and they keep out the wet. Oh my word, do they keep out the wet. On occasion I've returned back to my car with soaking trousers and bone dry socks!Outside of work, I've found myself more ready and willing to go walking in muddy envirnoments. I'm very guilty of leading my wife into marshy/muddy areas and not realising how much she's struggling because these boots make it so easy!I'm due to get free boots from work, but I keep putting it off as theses are so warm and comfortable. To me, they're still an expensive boot, but they also seem entirely worth it and I recommend them!

Cant say weve worn them in the rain yet but otherwise good
Very light. Nice leather lining goes all the way inside. Outside leather is sturdy and smooth. The clasps are handy instead of eyelets. The laces are long and grip well and untie well. The soles have a decent arch and good support around the arch and make your feet well aligned not rock over in any way. The rubber vibram is very good grip and the deep treads good for rocky ground and not too close together so you can easily stomp the muck off them which i love. All round decent boots and not many like them. Id say so long as you treat them properly with dubbin to keep them waterproof and make sure to keep them clean and dry they will last a long time. They will take a bit of battering to soften them up at first ...and havent had the pleasure of walking through boggy terrain with torrential rain to test them fully but they give the impression they are very watertight. I mean theres two layers if leather and one of gortex between so if they dont keep water out nothing but a welly will. Anoying that the half sixes are 50$ more.

A good quality boot for shorter walks on easier terrain. Recommended for intermediate trekking.
This is a very good quality and comfortable boot for walking for 3 or 4 hours on less rocky terrain. Not so sure they ae suitable for serious all day trekking in rocky and mountainous environments. Recommended for intermediate trekking and dog walking. I use them mostly for dog walking and would definitely buy them again.ProsWell-made boot and comfortable for 3 to 4 hour walking.Completely waterproof with integrated tongue.Good foot support and foot feels stable when walking.Great grip in wet and muddy conditions. Only started to slip in extremely muddy conditions (paths of liquid mud).Feel like they will last for many years. Not a bulky boot (so easy to wear for intermediate walking).Very good value compared to many walking boots.ConsFeet can get hot/sweaty in hot conditions or on very long walks (all day). The integrated tongue is good for waterproofing but its bulky and can make tying the boot up a bit of a faff.Think that the leather upper would tear on large sharp rocks so not for serious hill climbing.

Great fit
I must have been lucky one going by some negative reviews it made me apprehensive in ordering these but I took the plunge due to great priceThey fit perfectly straight out the box great gripping sole wore them in snow feet nice and dry I changed insole to a fleecy one for warmth but changed back as no need for them they are snug fitting but feel that gives more support rather that feet moving around in them . I would recommend.

So light, so comfy and totally waterproof!
These boots are fantastic!I've walked over 100 miles in them since purchase a month ago through torrential rain, down steep, muddy slopes, across fields and even on sandstone outcrops. They have proven to be very light, very comfy, super grippy and 100% waterproof.Never before have spent so much on walking boots yet I can see why they are the cost they are. Superbly manufactured and so much better than the cheaper boots I've had in the past.As such they represent excellent value! Definitely very pleased with the quality of the product.
