Here's what you need to know about adding this as a second camera.1) Very easy to sync this camera with the monitor. (Directions are clear and simple)2) VIEWING BOTH ROOMS: When you have two cameras synced (say, one in each kids room) you have the option to scan back and forth from each camera(room) or manually view one room at a time.(This is helpful if one child is napping etc) The scan mode is what I use most when the kids are sleeping and I love this feature. Every 8 seconds (Manual says 8 but counted anywere from 5-8 seconds) the monitor switches rooms. As expected you only get the sound from the room that is currently being viewed.3) When in scan mode and the camera is switching rooms you can not zoom onto the child. However you can pan the camera. I thought it strange that you could not use the zoom feature in this mode but you could still pan the room. This is my biggest gripe on the scan feature.As I mentioned in my review of the monitor, this system has it's faults, but not enought to discount the features I like. I still have a problem with the white noise when the room is quiet, not sure if it's my house interference or just the quality. For the price I really hoped for a better picture but the sound is great in terms of hearing the slightest movement (tossing, turning). The last bit of info I can think to add is how inconvenient the user menu is, for us spoiled smartphone, tablet users this feels like 80's technology.

I gave 3 stars because the camera is excellent if you get one that works. I originally purchased the entire system (camera, monitor display, charging cradle) from Target. The first one we purchased kept malfunctioning. In the middle of the night the display would randomly turn to black with a lost connection message. So we brought it back and exchanged it for another system that has been working great since March of 2014 (it is now September 2014). We decided it would be nice to have a second camera for the lower level of the house. It is hard to find one that is compatible with the Baby Touch "BOOST" system in stores so we purchased this from Amazon. After less than a month of use the camera started to malfunction in a similar manner to what we experienced with our original system. In addition to loosing contact with the display, the camera would also pan and zoom on its own. I am giving the item 3 stars because if you are lucky enough to get one that isn't defective it is awesome with great resolution and night vision.

...it stopped communicating with the monitor. : / This was our third camera on our Baby Touch Boost Monitor system, and the other two still work perfectly, so overall I'm happy with the system. But after just five months of use, this camera's electronic communication link drops off the monitor after just a few seconds, no matter how close to the monitor it was or which channel it was programmed into. The window to return it via Amazon closed three months after I ordered it, so I plan to call the Summer Infant directly and hopefully get a replacement camera from them.

We originally bought a wifi camera, but it didnt work that great. This was the second choice. I have had a couple problems with it. It geeks out once in a great while and points itself to the ceiling, but overall its a good camera. We have a 3 month old and a three year old and purchased an extra cam for the baby. Happy with this product.

I'll give this 3 stars since it's only for the camera. It was easy to hook up and add the camera, and it is easy to swap between the 2 cameras. Now if only the monitor base itself would stay on...

Camera keeps going out of range and 6 days after the return window closed the cord broke

Does the job well, except night time picture quality is not the greatest. But theres no delay. We use it everynight. Very easy to use. And it pan and tilt is great.

Added this second camera to our home monitoring system. Works great. Exactly what we expected, as we already use this camera in one room. Ordering our third shortly.

Sold me a camara that dosent work, I didn't try it because my baby was not born, went to use it...won't sync with the monitor :(
