Roux Tween Time Instant Root Concealer Dark Brown, 1 ea (Pack of 3)

The Roux Temporary Haircolor Touch-up stick works exactly as expected. I had used a similar product in the past and this was as good if not better. The few reviews that I read about it not spreading properly must have been because they weren't wetting the tip before applying (read the directions?). If you do, it works perfectly. And as far as the smell, I found the odor to be minimal and not offensive at all. Much less than most hair products, hair sprays, gels, perms or colors! I find it works best if you lift the hair with a brush or comb and apply to the roots as you move upward. It will get on your skin if it's real wet and you push too hard, but you can just wipe it off with a damp tissue. I have very dark brown hair and this covers the shiny grays as they grow out between colors. It definitely tones them down and makes it look natural until I can get colored again. It is "temporary" and will wash out with your next shampoo or if you go swimming but I find it lasts all day and have never had it run even if I sweat. I recommend this to anyone who wants to minimize the harsh contrast while your gray is growing out.

I've been coloring my own hair for many years with over-the-counter products. Even at 60, my hair grows pretty fast and I was always faced with either coloring it every 3-4 weeks or being embarrassed about the grey gradually showing at the roots until the next coloring. Though coloring it myself is pretty inexpensive, it takes time out of a busy day. Then I discovered Roux's "'Tween Time". I've been using it for over a year now and I've been THRILLED at how well it works! I wash my hair once a week and apply it to my wet hair. I only need to apply it where the hair is parted and where the roots show at the back of my head. I bought the dark brown when I was using a darker hair color, but I've found it doesn't matter what hair color I use. It still blends and colors over that nasty grey. In fact, I will kind of streak it to give myself some sort of multi-color highlight look. I can go many, many weeks now before I have to color my hair. When I was visiting an out-of-town family member recently, I needed to cover those roots so I bought a spray. It was awful! Hard to use, impossible to target the right areas! That's why when I came back home I simply HAD to write a review on this wonderful product!

This product was pretty close to what others described. I used it as soon as it arrived. It can be annoying having to constantly wet it to apply, but it goes on better when moistened per the instructions. I do like the coverage, it is better than most products I have tried. I do like that I can brush my hair without it coming out. The product is not noticeable when I am outside in the sun. The reason for FOUR stars:::You know how your hair feels after you have been outside on a really windy day? That is what my hair felt like after I applied it then waited, then brushed it out. It really is like mascara for your hair. When I ran my fingers through my hair, it felt like I had been outside in the wind, kind of knotted, but not knotted, it just had "the stuff"/product in it. If you like your hair to feel smooth all the time, then this product is not for you. Also I was outside on a hot day with a hat on & I noticed that the product was on my forehead when I wiped the sweat away. So a hat would not be advisable while using this product. Otherwise, this product does what it says it does & the stick is firm like a crayon. I will purchase again. It is a product I would definitely use for in between coloring, even though I only have a few gray hairs in my bangs.

I carefully read all the reviews for this product before making my purchase. When it arrived I was anxious to see if the yays or nays were correct. I am thrilled with it, as it does exactly what it is described to do! Yes, this product is like a large crayon. Yes, the end needs to be dipped in water to dispense color. Yes, it absolutely covers the gray! Yes, it does have a slight odor, but I do not find it to be over powering or offensive ... in fact it is only very slight while the hair is still wet. Yes, it is only intended to be an in-between solution for root growth JUST AS DESCRIBED. I can't believe I've never discovered it before now, but am so happy that I have! I will be ordering another to keep in my purse. It is just barely larger than a lipstick tube, and will be handy if pulling hair back into an up-do or twist and discovering a spot of gray that I may have missed. I do not understand the bad reviews unless those people are just not using it correctly. The people leaving comments about it being "hard" or "hard to apply" must not be wetting the tip...which is necessary. I simply run a little water in the sink or a small cup, and dip the tip, apply to roots, then dip and apply as many times as needed to cover your growth area. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for something to help keep you sane while you are too busy to make an appointment for color touch up or highlights. SO much faster than mixing up color, and It really does work!

I have my hair professionally colored, but the grey starts peeking through in just three weeks. I had purchased an expensive temporary spray on product from my stylist to cover the grey. It was messy and difficult to apply. I read the reviews here on Amazon regarding this Roux touch up stick and ordered the dark brown. I love love love it!!!! It does have a citronella fragrance, but it is not heavy, and I find it to be pleasant. I take a little bowl of water and dip the stick in it to moisten the stick. I keep dipping the stick to get good application on all of my roots. My hair is medium dark brown with reddish highlights and this color blends perfectly! The dark brown has a bit of an auburn hue but when dried looks good. I have also purchased the black color and surprisingly, the black blends in beautifully and perhaps, even better. I used the stick yesterday and today my hair looks great. Use one hand to lightly pull or hold down your roots as this makes application so much easier. If you use this for a thinning part (I do) then you may need to experiment with a couple of different colors to see which looks more natural. For my thinning hair part line and scalp...the black works best.

There are other temporary color sticks on the market but this one is the best. I have gray almost white hair. I used to have weaved brown streaks dyed onto the top of my hair. When my color expert moved away I used a couple of color sticks before this Roux color stick but they did not work as well. The others (3) did not look natural and they flaked. I did not like them at all. I almost gave up but gave this one a try. It is easy to use, it looks good and since I wash my hair every other day it washes out easily.

This stuff works better than anything I have Ever used for root touch ups.

Roux Touch-Up Stick looks like a giant brown lipstick coming out of the container. It needs to be wetted thoroughly, and then rubbed onto the hair you want to color. The coverage is good, it's masks my gray roots enough so that they're not really noticeable. On the downside, it will rub off a lot while your still damp in your roots. So, be careful! It rubs off a little even when it dries, too. So, don't fix your hair where you can't wash your hands. The smell is pretty overpowering at first but it doesn't last, thankfully. Last, it can leave the portions of the hair rather waxy and textured where applied. Overall it's a nice cheap way to save some $$ in between colors, if you don't mind some minor issues.

A bit thick on the hair and smudges on the scalp . But does the job if you’re in a hurry .

Ottimo prodotto, me ho provato altri ma questo per me rimane il migliore. Basta bagnarlo e copre perfettamente i capelli bianchi, certo per chi ne ha pochi e tra una tinta e l'altra .

Mi esposa tiene canas desde sus 25 y ahora que tiene más de 35, me comenta que este producto le ayuda mucho a ocultar las canas sin tener que teñirse con tanta frecuencia. Súper recomendado, el efecto se quita al lavar el pelo y es perfecto para hacer retoques. Lo solíamos comprar cuando vivimos en Canadá y ahora que vivimos en España lo volvimos a conseguir y es un alivio para ella.

El producto no queda fijo se cae cuando sudo o me limpio con un pañuelo desechable ahora que llueva tendré cuidado ya que todo se escurre no lo recomiendo
