Blagdon 5W UV Clarifier Replacement Lamp, Black

My pond had started to become infested with green slime and floating green weed and the fish were swimming near the top of the pond- couldn't figure it out, then checked the UV bulb in my filter... it had blown!!Ordered this bulb as a replacement for my Blagdon pond filter and within hours the fish had started swimming about again and the water was clearer! Guess I will need to stock up on these. FYI, the last bulb only lasted around 8-9 months!

False advertising. Clearly shows as a blagdon packet with bulb sealed in it, but you are sent a cheap bulb not in a blagdon packet. If I wanted a cheap bulb I would buy one for a couple of quid.

Does an AMAZING job of keeping the water in our Affinity Pool crystal clear! As a result, our fish are much happier, and swim around with smiles on their faces :-) The first UV clarifier bulb we bought lasted about 7 months before it needed replacing. I am sure there are cheaper versions which are compatible with the Blagdon pump we have, but I didn't want to chance it, so bought the pump manufacturer's one instead.

I bought this as I needed one next day, and this was available via Prime. It was double the price of non Blagdon versions but it does the job fine. Fitted and working in 5 minutes flat.Gets 2 stars for the price, but I bought as needed quickly - I also bought another one from Amazon that arrived the day after but lots cheaper.Having said that it works fine and it's from the same manufacturer as my pump so each to their own!

The trouble is I've just started using it so I don't know yet . . . . I do know that my Pond Water is CLEAR and I can see the fish on the bottom which I couldn't before. I wish someone could tell me that is what I shuld expect, What I cannot understand is that a green deposit has appeared round the sides of the pond when I though it should have been destroyed altogether..

Worked really well - amazing what difference a new bulb makes. Pond went from pea soup to Chrystal clear in 3 days.
