The shelving unit comes with instructions which are quite easy to figure out. All the pieces are painted very nicely, but when assembled some of the joints (metal to metal) have scraped off the paint, but it’s hardly noticeable.The adjustable heights of the shelves means you should be able to accommodate all sorts of shape & sizes on them. My biggest gap between shelves is 780mm, and shortest is 230mm, you could go more on either. You don’t have to use all 5 shelves either, but this might compromise the rigidity of unit.Somebody asked on here if you could shorten the actual height, you could only do this by hack sawing the metal uprights off accordingly. It’d be a lot of hard work.As my unit was going in the garage, I decided to use some spare varnish on the MDF shelves both sides to protect them better from damp etc...I think the shelf thickness is ample at approx 6mm. Although putting my pressure washer on the bottom shelf you do see it bow just very slightly. I’d think twice about putting 175kgs on 1 single shelf.To sum up, for the money it’s doing the job I wanted it to do, for a very good price. Hope this helps, regards.

I needed a way of stacking various items to get bits of gear into some sort of order and into one easily accessible place, this unit is ideal for just that purpose. It does not have doors or partitions or side screens just the shelves. The framework is bent/pressed metal which has been finished with a durable powder coated paint product, probably not good for outside in weather but OK for use in shed or garage. Mine will be indoors in a centrally heated house. When the unit is assembled with items on the shelves it will move very slightly, (about 1cm at the top), due to the joining method used for the parts but it would take a deliberate effort to upset the unit. climbing on it is not recommended. One could drill holes in the uprights and secure to an adjoining wall if this is a concern.The shelf unit comes as a flatpack which is comparatively heavy, (you would not want to drop it on a foot or fall any distance). It is after all metal and high density MDF board. You the purchaser will have to put the component parts together. There are assembly instructions to help, you with parts clearly labelled but if practical work is a challenge this might not be for you. The instructions suggest a rubber mallet be used for coaxing the parts into true alignment but a piece of timber with similar weight to a hammer of the sort used for 50mm/2" nails would do the job. A metal hammer itself would damage the paint. All in all I find this unit a great product and works well for the purpose for which I bought it.

For the price an excellent storage solution. Although a little industrial looking I bought these as their dimensions fitted perfectly to an inside bedroom cupboard which was needing converting for clothing storage. Utility over aesthetics. That said they look pretty good. Easy to assemble, although the ninety degree L-shaped cross section of uprights is more like 120 degrees which made fitting the foot pads a little challenging. Because I screwed uprights to wall, top and bottom, cannot comment on free standing sturdiness but perfectly stable when fixed to wall. Shelving is thin, porous fibreboard but ok for inside use where it shouldn’t warp.

Arrived 2 days before schedule but as quite a compact box ,quite heavy.Good instructions and as stated a rubber mallet would be an advantage and a larger flat head screwdriver to open up the slots that aren't quite fully opened.Ensure your heaviest item is put on the lowest shelve as they can be wobbly ,higher up.I ordered 2 and as they came with a packet of "linking brackets", I butted 2 together.I would purchase again.

I obviously bought the original shelving unit from Amazon and it was just what I wanted . Arrived quickly, easy to assemble (just take your time) and very sturdy. I decided not to use he shelves in the original configuration, which meant that I needed an extra shelf. I contacted Storage Affairs and they were great. Extra shelf arrived promptly !! Very happy.

One of the best shelving units at budget price! Unlike the shelves I bought from another maker, these are much more sturdy due to a more robust frame and they are much easier to assemble because the locking bits are larger. The metal frame is nicely painted. The shelves could be a bit thicker but, given the good support bar in the middle, it should be no problem. Add to it the exceptionally efficient customer service who sent me a small replacement part the next day, I can highly recommend this product, especially to those like me, a female senior citizen who found it quite easy to construct without looking too much at the instructions sheet.

The video how to assemble is very useful. Very good storage with easy assembly. I have covered the chipboard shelves with sticky back vinyl to improve longevity in case of damp.

I bought 3 of these to use in the garage. They were easy(ish) to put together. The second one was much easier than the first as there were certain things which we picked up as we built it. The paint chipped off a few times but it's going in the garage so it doesn't really matter. The shelves themselves feel sturdy. I put a few boxes on test yesterday and feels fine. They look really neat and exactly what I needed to tidy things up. Shelves are all adjustable sizes which is handy. From reading other reviews of similar shelves, we are going to treat the wood so it doesn't go mouldy in winter months.

He comprado dos y las he montado unidas, no me ha hecho falta fijarlas a la pared ya que tienen mucha estabilidad. Compra aconsejable.
