My spouse acquired a teak bath caddy that folds in the center, and is intended to have a bracket that bolts in to hold it stable. Unfortunately, that item came without the hardware. All of my existing brass stock was far to thin for stability. This piece of sheet is think enough to be stiff, thin enough to easily work with a jigsaw, hand file, and cordless drill, and small enough to ship and store easily. A small cardboard template, a dime to shape the end curves, a file to round the edges and deburr, a drill and countersink for the screw holes, and a couple of brass screws with brass nuts, and the bath caddy is done. I love that this brass is cleanly dimensioned with square edges. It is free of burrs and free of dents and scratches on the surfaces. I could have just as simply used this for a decorative faceplate as for small part stock.

A nice piece of brass, for arts and crafts (or metalworking) projects. I purchased this with knife making in mind - while it is a bit thick for liner material, I like making smaller 'gentlemans' folders, and this would be perfect for brass bolsters on just such a knife. I have always liked a knife that ages a bit, tarnishes, grows old with you. There is one streak of discoloration which can be seen in the photo where the stock is laying flat, far right side about an inch or so long. Nothing of consequence, and should polish out in the end.

I used this to fabricate a replacement blade front sight for a Uberti reproduction Colt Walker revolver. This is the exact thickness needed to fit into the sight groove. I added a little Loctite red to keep it secure. I made the sight taller, so now the Walker shoots to point-of-aim at 25 yards.

Nice and thick, not very precisely formed. I bolted one of these to a broom head mount and long metal handle to make an ice scraper for solar panels. The edge of this sheet is rounded and that limits its ability to cleanly shear the ice off the glass but without a mill of some kind that sort of machining is very hard. What you wind up with is a wavy edge that leaves behind strips of ice so you have to go over and over the same spot to get it all. That said it works ok, I just need to find a way to machine it to a sharp edge. Only 4 stars because price.
