Amazon Basics Extra Comfort 7-Zone Mattress with Memory Foam Layer, Medium (H3) - Single

The 2nd one we've bought, the 1st one back in April for our 8yr old daughter and this one for our 6yr old son and they are just right for our children, whenever I ask our daughter about it she says it's nice and comfortable and hopefully it will be the same level of comfort for our son, They do take the 72 hours or so to fill out properly but then they're good to go and good value so we're quite pleased with them. I was tempted to purchase a king size before they were discontinued but decided not to because of the poor reviews of the larger sizes but even though I have not slept on the single(s) every time I sit on the end of our daughter's bed for a chat it feels nice and squishy comfortable, makes me feel it might be time to get rid of the spring mattress but it's not that old so I'm trying to get some value for our money but next time I will consider a memory foam mattress.

We simply loved this mattress. Been using it for a month.My wife has chronic back pain (and I do not), and the product gives us both the best sleep ever. I never knew how much I needed this mattress until I slept on it. My wife felt significant improvement after over 1 year of chronic back pain.- It is harder than an average spring mattress, but soft enough for you to adapt well and the top feels to shape around your body comfortably as you lay on it.- Subtle smell when new is nowhere disturbing.- Package (double) is pretty heavy, might be difficult to go upstairs on your own (although kudos to the delivery guy, who made it through third floor without a sweat).- I left it open/still for about 30 hours before using it, and I strongly recommend doing the same. It comes vacuum-packed, and it takes time for it to unroll properly, and I read that if you sleep on it straight away (in less than 6 hours), you might permanently deform the foam (may be not a visible difference, though).- Pay attention to "this side up" sign, as it's not reversible.- Price is very attractive for such a good mattress. I couldn't find any other with same price and good reviews.

I have been using this mattress now for the last 3 months. It replaced a worn out spring mattress which was giving me a bad back. i normally sleep on my side and back occasionally.Firstly this is a memory foam mattress that is on the firmer side than a lot. After unpacking I left for 48 hrs and seemed ok, smell went after couple days too. Now, the verdict........I have given it 3 stars because for me I find it a bit too hard as I still get a small amount of back pain in the morning, though much less than with my old mattress. However I expected a better nights sleep than it gives me. I weigh 80KG so have come to the conclusion a softer memory foam or combo pocket spring/memory foam mattress would suit me better. This one is going on the spare bed as looking for something softer for me. I guess if you are heavier than me it will probably be better suited, but if you are lighter then you may find it too firm.It was supplied very quick, no complaints with delivery or quality of the product - very good for the price just firmer than expected.Hope this review helps.

I am in the process of purchasing my third AmazonBasics Extra Comfort 7-Zone Mattress with Memory Foam Layer mattress.For the few first days, it is incredibly hard, but that is to be expected with memory foam pillows and mattresses. After this, it becomes a fantastic and comfortable mattress that you can enjoy every nights for about... 10 months ! Past that period of time, the foam loses its bounciness and begins to sag. The mattress does not bounce back into shape and you end up sleeping in a cauldron in the middle of it. It gets uncomfortable and back pains appear.Don't get me wrong... £100 for 10 months is not expensive at all... But it is a bit of a waste of time and resources. This is the last time I purchase one of those. the next one will be a more expensive model, but hopefully, more durable, also.

When it arrives and you unpack it do not panic because it looks very thin, out of the vacuum packing it quickly expands to its full depth of 20cm.There was a very slight smell, but it quickly dissipated.You can feel the benefit of the memory foam moulding to your body and it is indeed very comfortable, for the price it is excellent and I am well over 20 stone in weight. In an ideal world it could have more memory foam, but that could lead to more heat retention so who knows what is ideal.I am very happy with it.

Good mattress, very firm which is a good thing - have just bought one of the more expensive boxed mattresses for myself and bought this for my girlfriend and this is actually nearly as good to be honest ! At first was extremely nervous due to it coming out the packaging like a splat but after 72 hours (definitely leave it for this time) it had grown into quite a firm comfortable mattress. I personally love this mattress. It is on the firm side, but that suits me given I sometimes struggle With back pain. I ordered this mattress to use between moving into a new house and our other, branded mattress in a box arriving.I have to say I actually prefer the amazon mattress to the other one (it’s named after the Lion King) but my it’s too firm for my partners liking. I can imagine that with daily use it may not fare as well as competing mattresses based on thickness but mine has shown no sign of wear with occasional use. My guests love it when they stay.The mattress cover is prone to snags so by careful when moving it. The smell disappears quickly if left to properly ventilate.

If there was an option to score it 3.5 that's what I would do. First things to first, it's a mattress firm to hard so stay away if you' re looking for a ''just firm'' or softy mattress. Its good overall, taking into account the advertised features but my only issue and I agree with other reviewers, is that after using it since the 1st of September, the mattress start sinking more and more although still offers a comfortable sleep. Basically it sinks more than expected and is not ''bouncing'' back quick enough. My weight is not an issue 100% sure unless Amazon recommends this mattress for kids.
