Q: how long are the strips?

Q: How big a quilt will one roll make? I want to make a king size how many will I need?

It depends on how much over hang you want for the quilt and if you will use borders. If you want a quilt made out of just strips like a jelly roll race quilt, you can use the formula from Wee Folk Art to determine the number of strips you'll need. This would be the smallest number of jelly rolls you'd need because the pattern is so simple. For a typical 110" x 108" quilt you'd need four of these. Q: I received mine without a ridge trim like in the photo (it was a straight cut) Is this normal?

As long as the measurements are correct it should be fine. When I cut my own strips I use a rotary cutter with a straight edge. The pinked edges don't fray as easy.
