Updated 5 -> 4*Replaces an 10 year old set; really well made and looking forward to them taking me into my mid 50's.I've now had these for 6 months + and not really used them. I used them this week and the stud on the hook failed. Looking at the other set the stud is about to fail too.On one hand it's a small thing, but on the other you can see that I've hardly had any wear on them. They could be a Friday afternoon set!I still think they are a great product, but it's small things when your on long distance walks that can really cause problems.

Gortex is a con you may as well use plastic. However these gators do keep your ankles dry and are easy to fit.

Brilliant cover for shoes and ankles, working at stables mucking out, they are perfect as they are waterproof and straw proof....keep my shoes, socks and ankles free of being full of straw and wet/poo areas would highly recommend

Too much trouble to put on. Just tuck ya trousers in ya socks. Quicker and cheaper
