More useful than I thought!
Sometime ago I ordered one of these adapters to use my Milwaukee M18 batteries in a Ryobi 18v jig saw. It worked perfectly and since the HD orange store is regularly running sales on Ryobi tools I decided to get another to leave the adapter in the tools all the time rather than moving from tool to tool. This one is from a different company and is slightly different in mold shape but does also include the USB charging function. At first I thought it’s just another seldom used feature. But on a couple of occasions recently my phone was low on “juice” and I gave it a try. Charged my iPhone 13 up in no time at all. So I stand corrected, very useful feature. I could see making sure all your tool batteries are charged up before a severe weather event just in case. The adapter fits snugly in the Ryobi tools and my M18 batteries slide in and lock nicely. Good product, highly recommended.

Simple solution
I have all dewalt tools ,batteries and chargers. I bought a ryobi drain cleaner too ata a garage sale and it didn’t come with a battery or charger,I didn’t want to have different batteries so this was a perfect adapter to get ,goes into the ryobi tool and my dewalt batteries fit into this . Seems to work the same with no decreased power. Glad they make this and I have one

Doesn’t work
With just a small bit of vibration from the tool, the battery will lose contact with the adapter. So for this to work, you need one hand holding the battery and another holding the tool.
