I guess that will help it seal better..
The air filter fit......eventually. Had to compress it a little too much for my liking to get it to fit in the air filter housing. I guess that will help it seal better...as long as it doesn’t deform from the pressure.

Just what we needed
Exactly the filter I was looking for to go in my Husband’s John Deere ride on. Looked hi and low and Amazon was the only place that I could find it. Way to go Amazon! Great price also.

Just What I Needed for Go-Kart Tecumseh Powersport 6.0 Engine
This came up as a suggested purchase when I was buying a Carburetor for our Go-Kart. The old one was gross and needed replacement. This one worked perfect for our Tecumseh Powersport 6.0 engine. It swaped out with the old one easily and has been running good since.

Not quite equivalent to original design
The engine performance was different with this filter. The number of pleats is different, but that doesn't necessarily mean much. I used to be able to run the gas tank dry. Now with this filter in the engine dies before I can empty the tank. I don't like that. I'm not sure if that means air starvation or what, but the performance is NOT equivalent to the original part number, nor is the filter paper the same.

Not an accurate replacement for the OEM
As others have written, the filter is dimensionally incorrect and has to be trimmed to fit. I will not buy this brand again.
