Works great
The AC is just what it was supposed to be. Works great and cools the space. A little louder than I wanted but it's not in the room that its cooling. The fan is very strong and throws the cool air about 24 feed. Their customer service is awesome. the exhaust hose came with a some of the plastic rubbed off by the metal rings. Costumer service took care of this very quickly.

Cools well but needs to drain
The media could not be loaded. We are in a humid environment, but outdoor temps do not get over 83 degrees. We wanted this for a large living area/kitchen to make itcooler and dryer during sunny afternoons. Set up was easy. It does this effectively. But, unless ours is not functioning properly, it needs a drain on the cool setting. The instruction say that a drain is only needed on the dehumidify setting, but we found that not to be true. I rigged it to drain in a bucket that gets full and needs to be emptied daily. I will get a longer drain hose, drill a hole on the window vent adapter, and route the drain hose outside. The video attached shows how much condensate water is being produced on the cool setting. Way too much for the small holding pan in the unit. Possibly if you live in a very dry climate you will not need a drain for the cool setting.

AC Gets Cold Fast!!!
I bought this portable AC unit because it gets well over 90 degrees F where I live in CA. The 12,000 BTU output is a steal for this price. This AC works better than my last one, gets multiple rooms cold using it in combination with my fans in the house. I’m able to get my master bedroom cold, my spare office bedroom, and my hallway cold. The low setting does great! I haven’t really needed to to use the high setting. I’m super happy with my purchase. Easy to assemble, easy to install, and easy to operate. My room size is 16’ x 14’ and this gets it cold within minutes. The 12,000 BTU rating for this price, is definitely one of the best deals on the market right now. I would strongly suggest this unit if you’re looking for a new portable AC Unit. - this review was written by and independent buyer and is 100% honest and true feedback.Thank you,Generic Eric

Good purchase
I am overall very happy with this purchase. It can be a bit loud but it easily cools a room down with little effort. The only issue I had was he had to wait 24 hours before first use. If they had offered a bit of an explanation as why it would have made it less painful. A google search mentioned it was to allow the oil to fully return to its appropriate place after shipping. Still a good purchase.

Portable AC works as expected but...
The unit is well constructed, has a nice aesthetic and provides the expected cooling to a small room fast. The thermostat works properly, and everything can be controlled from the remote control. I am happy with the unit and will keep it since the price is affordable for 12,000 BTU a/c and it does the job. However, don't expect it to be quiet. It's pretty noisy and having it in your bedroom could disrupt your sleep. The window installation is not difficult but requires some extra insulation material to cover the openings. Finally, I am unhappy with the fact that a 12-month payment plan was offered, but not honored at the end, causing me to dispute the full amount that Amazon is charging me.

DO NOT BUY!!!
This is my third portable A/C within 4 years...Air Choice was highly rated by Consumer Reports...AND I bought the 3-year Protection Plan. So, I can be quite sure that I'll get at least 4 years out of it. I found putting the hose together very difficult -- but my son came over; looked at it and put it together just like that!! Other than that, it's pretty self-explanatory. The directions are not very clear, but I went to the site, and my questions were answered. It's very easy to control and the display is on the top of the machine, so there are no glaring lights while I'm trying to sleep in my cool, dark room. The other two A/Cs I owned took about six to eight hours to cool the bedroom from 74 to 62 degrees. It was 76 degrees in my bedroom when I finished installing it. I turned it on and in less than ONE HOUR, my bedroom was 62.9 degrees! It is very powerful compared to my other A/Cs...I could feel the cool as I was walking out the door. I live on the second floor of a large apartment complex, and it is almost always baking hot in here. If this works when the temperature gets into the high seventies, eighties and nineties, I'll be ecstatic. Neither of my other two A/Cs would get below 75 degrees when it was really hot...and I'm only cooling one small room! I'll come back in the fall to give an update on how well it performed during the summer months...I live in Maine on the coast. Summer begins around the 4th of July and ends after Labor Day!!Update 7/11/2023: It worked so well...for two weeks!!! THEN - the "Full" light flashed and the unit shut down. Mine didn't come with a tray, so I used microfiber cloths to sop up the water as it streamed out of the lower drain. I tried to use the dehumidifier, but the humidity in the room kept going up, and the machine was starting to "shake, rattle, and roll." I contacted Customer Service, and at first they wanted to give me half my money back and I could keep the defective unit. It only functioned for two weeks, and they wanted me to "eat" almost $200.00?!! I emailed them, and they sent out a replacement unit. I'm not terribly optimistic about how well this new A/C will function. I live in a humid climate (during the summer - then the ultimate dry climate in the winter), and this may be the reason that so many A/Cs either don't work for long or only last one season. Customer Service was very good. They returned reply usually within a few minutes, and they sent me a new remote since the first one was defective. They dragged their feet a bit on a replacement unit - but sent one out as soon as I replied saying that I would only accept a replacement or a refund. If you live in a dry climate, this unit could possibly work well. I will be back to update my review at the end of the season or sooner if this new unit doesn't work any better.Update #3 - 07/18/2023: This machine is useless. I let it sit for over 24 hours; installed it; turned it on; came back into the room 2 hours later, and the FULL light was flashing and the machine had shut down. The only way I can get it to work is by putting it on a stool and letting it drain into a 2 1/2 gallon bucket. It fills the bucket after 12 hours of operation, so I have to check on the bucket every four to six hours. I live in Maine where the climate is very humid, but I've not had any other A/C do this same thing. I hope it will get me through this year, and maybe next year my apartment complex will not allow window A/Cs. These portable things are the worst. JUST DON'T BUY THIS PARTICULAR BRAND - IT FAILS EVERY TIME. I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS OWNED THIS UNIT WHO HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM. AGAIN, DO NOT BUY ANY air choice A/CS!!09/15/2023: Another update. Though the temperature outside is cooler, it is still stifling in my apartment. For the past couple of weeks, the compressor has been shutting off...but not when the temperature gets below the set temperature...just randomly. At first, I tried putting a small area heater in my bedroom, but it made no difference. The thing is so loud that when the compressor shuts off, it wakes me up. It's time to trash it. Next year, I'll buy one from a hardware store in my town and will hopefully have more luck.09/20/2023 Update: I carried it down 2 flights of stairs and threw the blasted thing in the dumpster. My apartment complex recycles, and it will go to the proper place. It just felt so good to throw it away. I will never buy another portable A/C online, and I recommend that no one ever in a million years buys this brand. Everything about it sucks!! Sorry, but the truth is tough. Done...over.

Great cooler for a small area!
I live in Arizona, and to save money on my electric bill, I fill this up with water and the ice packets. It lowers the temp a few degrees where it is pointed. I have one in my living room pointed at the couch, and one in the bedroom.

Great but a little loud.
It really works great on cooling. The only thing that I don't care for is its loud but I can deal with that.
