Thunder Acres Non GMO, Certified Organic, Oat Seed (1 lb.)

My cats love this grass seed. Germination is highly successful, easy to grow, and cats happily dive in to have a treat. In addition, the order was processed and delivered quickly.

I can hardly keep up with growing this for my 3 cats. They go crazy for it and I have to hide it in a room where they can't get to it. They scream for it everyday. I give it to them 2 times a week. It's easy to grow but takes about 4 days to sprout when kept in a dark spot and partially covered and misted everyday. Then when it's about a couple of inched high I take it to a sunny window and water it as needed.

Our cat needed more fiber, vitamins, and a tastier plant than my other houseplants, that she shouldn't eat. She loves the oats I grew for her. I hope she'll realize that the plant by her water fountain is just for her. I have not seen any recent nibbles on my houseplants yet, so maybe she's stopped trying. These sprout easily after soaking overnight. I planted a thick layer of seeds in some fresh coco coir, barely covered, and they were sprouted in 2 or 3 days, mature at 5. My cat approves!

These seeds grow so fast and my cats love them. We planted them in small decorative metal buckets (3 inch diameter) with 2 inches of pebbles on the bottom, an inch of dirt, and then a thick layer of seeds on top of the dirt. Keep them damp and theyll start to grow in 4-5 days. I would say once they are sprouted, the grass grows about 1-2 inches a day if its sunny. We keep them in the windowsill for the cats to chew on and swap them out with a fresh one each day. By the next day, its already grown back enough for them to enjoy the second day!
