Although a little on the expensive side, this shade turned out to be a great value. The Material is the right thickness for light block without bulkiness, the carrier and roller mechanism is top quality and the fit was exactly as expected. The measurement page can be as little confusing as there are a number of offsets that can be applied. Most importantly, give the best measure possible of the inside (in this case,) window dimensions . The shade fits tight for the carrier and no more than 1/4" clearance on each side for shade material. Any tighter than 1/4" will cause the shade edges to drag and then curl. Last , measure carefully for the upper hardware hangers to get the right protrusion for the Carrier when mounted inside a window frame.

I would really like to have given 5 stars because these are really nice shades. They're well made and the material is good. I love the way they go up and down with ease. But, there's entirely too much open space on the sides. It lets in too much light. I had planned to just use them and no curtains. But now I have to put up curtains over them.

This would be a better product. If it didn’t flap with the wind, there is no way to secure it.
