I had to make a custom barn door to fit under a bulkhead in a bathroom, and this was the only type of track I could find for cheap that could work. The instructions were not great at all, and even skipped steps that you wouldn’t know needed to happen until it’s too late. The track itself was warped and the screws needed an impact tool to actually go into the holes enough to not stop the glides from getting caught. Once I finally bent metal and said to hell with the soft close that did not work (should’ve known based on other reviews), I finally got the door installed, BUT the valance (black cover) does not even fit. You can clip it on but then it pops off randomly and won’t stay. Not to mention, the way the instructions want the door installed make it so that the valance wouldn’t fit even if it did clip in. I ultimately said screw it, I’ll just spray paint the track black and it can be “industrial”. Just spend a little bit extra and buy a different one that won’t make you just want to burn your house down or give up having a door on a bathroom. It works, KINDA, just definitely not worth the headache for the end result.

Do not try to install this and ruin your walls and cut you door trim and ruin that too like I did. As stated by another review, The soft close mechanisms are too long and the roller hit it before the door closed. The system works fine without the soft close installed but I didn't buy this more expensive unit to have a regular unit.

Exactly what we needed. Good clear instructions and easy to install. looks fabulous and doesn't weigh a ton. Highly recommend this product.

It wasn’t easy to install but any low pro track won’t be. Looks great, slides smooth. I gave it 4 stars because the black face plate in the front could be a little further away from the door. Depending on the thickness of your door, you might have to tack the top brackets towards the center of the door instead of on the edge like the directions tell you to or the face plate will rub against it when it slides.

My son bought a house with an unfinished 2nd story & wanted a nice sliding barn door in the master bedroom for his walk in closet. This set has a header that conceals the hardware on the top & gives it more of a finished look. The track is 6’ & has a soft close mechanism to keep the door from closing too quickly & damaging the wall. We also really appreciate the instructions that were included, easy to understand. A lot of the items that we’ve ordered lately come with either confusing instructions or none at all so this was a nice bonus. The kit was priced under $100 & is just what he was looking for.

Like others have mentioned the soft close is useless as your door will not close all the way. No where in the instructions does it say the soft close brackets are not needed which would have saved me a lot of wasted time. Now that it's up without the soft close it looks good but wish the instructions were much more clear.

The overall look of product is good. The screws stripped and disintegrated during installation, requiring my having to remove the rail which was difficult as screw head was stripped.The heads are not matched properly as well. Now I'm off to the hardware store to find screws that will work.

The soft-close hardware is not usable. I'm absolutely not happy with this. The project is unfinished, and I have no idea how to make it work.
