20 Ounce Sport Water Bottle with Filter - BPA Free

1st UPDATE: The filter, and I mean the original new Brita black filter, gives a better tasting water than the original old white casing filter, and provides a better flow (you don't have to squeeze much to get a lot of filtered water). My hope is that the copycat Aqua Crest taste the same and are as good or better than the original filters. Unfortunately, the rubber handle piece does not stay on when you fill the bottle with water like the old handle does, and keeps falling off. This is a negative.Thankfully, this 20 oz Sport Water Bottle is similar in size and all to the old one, except for the black filter and the new part that houses the filter. It also is 3 times more expensive (no justification yet from Brita).The top part (that you pull with your teeth even though your Mama told you not to) has not changed, so you can interchange with the old bottles (probably all chewed up).The new filter is black and does not have a white casing. The filter sits in the new white casing that houses it within the bottle...I have not used it yet... and won't use it till I need it... but I wanted to make sure I have the new model since the old filters are now 6-7 times the old price, if you can even find them.

I don't like the taste of tap water, or the expense of purchasing bottled water (not to mention all that additional plastic). I wasn't sold on this particular bottle until I read it had received a Good Housekeeping award for best bottle in its price range.Pros: the bottle is easy to clean and assemble. The opening is large enough that you can toss in a few ice cubes if you like your water really cold. The replacement filters are inexpensive and widely available, even in my local grocery store. The filter leaves the water with a very neutral taste and no aroma. The bottle seems to be holding up well; I've dropped it a few times with no ill effects.Cons: You either have to squeeze the bottle as you drink or use more suction than you would when drinking from a straw. Ideally you could just drink normally, but if that's an issue, just squeeze the water into a glass and you're set. The bottle is a little tougher to squeeze and less flexible when the water inside is really cold. This bottle is designed for filtering tap water that is already treated and safe to drink; if you're looking for a bottle to take camping or to use with other water sources, this is not the choice for you.Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase, and my water intake has definitely improved.

I got sick and tired of wasting bottles, could not find a good reusable squeeze bottle with a decent capacity. Then this Brita Bottle with Filter, Blue . I got it in Violet because Purple is my favorite color. It fits my hand well, good contours, very comfortable. 24oz capacity which is more than competitors whom are usually in the 18-20oz ranges. This has a filter in it, I can actually taste the difference in the water after being filtered and I like it.The directions are not as quite clear on how t refill it as I would like, however I figured it out pretty quickly. I will explain in detail to other persons looking into this product.1. Unscrew the entire lid, filter included.2. Fill the bottle to about 1.5 inches remain empty inside the bottle - this accounts for the water displacement of the filter.3. Screw the lid back on. tightly.At first, i was unsatisfied with how much pressure you need to squeeze to get the water out of the bottle, but then i realized it is delayed because the water must pass through the filter. I also use this when i sleep so when laying down and trying to drink, the added pressure prevents water from freely pouring out all over your face, and bedding. Actually a Plus.Easy to clean.Overall, I would get it, with some extra filters. Works great!

I buy these bottles every few years. They last forever. Everyone in my family loves having easy filtered water from anywhere. The filters are inexpensive, readily available from Target and WalMart or here on Amazon. They're easy to switch out and last a long time. The water tastes noticeably better. Was a little disappointed when I couldn't find the bottles in the store anymore. (Maybe they were out?) So happy to find them reasonably priced here. I'll always swear by these bottles.

I love this thing! It's ugly as sin but it gets the job done. The water in my building tastes absolutely horrid and I'm sure that's just me being picky but I used to live in Lubbock and us Texans know bad water when we taste it. Anyways, I bought this to make me drink more water as I want to drink 3 a day and it's honestly the bomb. My water tastes so much better and the water bottle doesn't leak at all because of how the filter is fitted! My only complaint would be that sometimes when it's been a little bit you have to squirt some out or you'll get a dose of the black filter in your mouth lol. But that's very rare and more intimidating than dangerous.

If you are looking for the PERFECT water bottle, this is it! Keep it OUT of extreme heat and extreme cold and it will last you years. When it comes to changing the filter, you will KNOW when it needs done as the water gets a bit of a taste to it. CHECK THE FILTER WEEKLY - if you left it in extreme heat it can grow mold (as could ANY water bottle, especially with a filter). Filters are cheapest to buy on Amazon.I was excited to discover this water bottle in orange, as that color has not been available for quite some time. The exterior plastic disintegrated when I went to open it. So, I guess it has been sitting around somewhere for quite some time. Otherwise it works perfect!
