All aluminum not plastic and worked great
Used this but used felpro gasket since I had purchased timing cover set and was included. Fit was spot on. No leaks. Only thing I noticed was the air bleed check back was at 6 o'clock position then o'clock location. I was able to undo spring plate and move to that position, then installed it. Worked well with computer as no codes. If I have issue later I will update. Great price and not plastic. Hardest part is heater hose clamp and hose install but well worth time to do locked radiator hose in place perfectly.

Fit perfectly
I had an issue where my car was overheating; the coolant and oil temperatures were reading over 240*F, and my A/C wasn't working. After looking more into the issue I learned that my thermostat was stuck "open", which meant it had failed. I decided to get this instead of the OEM part because it is not made out of plastic for my Gen 1 2016 Chevy Cruze LT, and it fits perfectly. It was a pain to install because my hands don't fit very well in small places, but I still managed.Fixed my Issue with the thermostat and overheating but not the A/C issue; it turns out the A/C clutch is ALSO bad...But at least my car is running better now with this new part.

Swap out your crappy plastic housing for this one!
I had a 2015 chevy sonic ltz sedan. I wish I knew that having a metal housing was an option because I went through 3 plastic OEM housings through the life of my car before I finally saw this one and installed it. The original part is garbage it WILL crack on you as it did for me and pretty much any other sonic owner. There are a ton of threads on how terrible the plastic parts are and that you should immediately swap it out for an aluminum one like this one. Do yourself a favor and save yourself car troubles by just replacing your housing even if yours isn't cracked yet, with this one. It was easy to install, I don't know much about cars or working on them and even I was able to crash course through the installation process. Good part, did its job, didn't leak, and was able to get my car back up and running just in time to trade it in for the new one I have now. 10 out of 10 would buy this thermostat housing.

The 6,000-Mile Thermostat: A Brief and Leaky Experience
Purchased just over a year ago to replace an aging unit and sensors when the odometer read 128,066 miles.Roughly 365 days and a modest 6,134 miles later (at 134,200 miles), the car dramatically threw a fit and turned off the AC to prevent the engine from melting itself into a puddle. A quick diagnostic scan pointed the finger straight at a stuck valve. An ohmmeter test confirmed the betrayal: a sad 5 ohms of resistance instead of the sturdy 15 ohms required of a functional part.To top off this masterclass in premature component failure, coolant was visibly weeping around the O-ring seam. Lasting a mere 6,000 miles hardly qualifies as getting one's money's worth. For anyone looking to make annual thermostat replacements their hot new hobby, this is the perfect product. For everyone else, the labor-to-lifespan ratio is painfully out of balance. To add insult to injury, warranty and replacement links were nowhere to be found.

Poor Quality and materials! Failed out of the box!
It never worked! So now I have to replace this defective thermostate housing witha different brand. Extra cost in time and resources as I have to re & re all that Dexcool and thermostate housing, that should have worked. Very, very disappointed.

Fragile Plug Connector
Decent quality except for the plug connector at the top of the unit. The one I recieved was broken, and although solderable it added considerable time to an otherwise straightforward replacement. Also not a perfect fit for a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze, but serviceable.
