LIFE SAVERS
My washer started leaking mid-cycle, and I have a second-floor condo, so...not good! I bought these right after and put them under my kitchen and bathroom sinks, behind each toilet, and of course, by the (new) washer. About two weeks later, alarms started going off. I received a text and email seconds later. It detected a small amount of water from under my kitchen sink. I'm not handy at all, but because I caught it right away, I figured out where it was coming from, tightened one of the bolt things, and I haven't had a problem sense. These things are amazing!!!! The email/text happened right away, so I know that if something went sideways and I wasn't home, I could rush back to deal with it before it became a disaster. That peace of mind is pretty priceless. They connected to my WiFi super quick, and they were easy to install. The one under my sink was sensitive enough to detect a little bit of water before it turned into something major, and the range is great because they're all over the condo and the signal is fine.I recommend these to every home owner. They can save you a big hassle down the road because you can catch the issue early. 100% worth the money.

Worked when we needed it to
We have had basement flooding issues for a few months, but could never catch it as it happened to see where the water was coming from. One of the many plumbers that we had out at the house recommended that we get some leak sensors to see if we can find the trigger. I have x-sense smoke detectors so knew the leak sensors would be a quality product and good value for the price. My sensors arrived the same night so I ran to set them up. The setup is a breeze, quickly connecting the base and sensors to my wi-fi and bluetooth from the basement (good range). The sensors are extremely sensitive to moisture and will detect leaks easily. I set one off with the moisture on my palm while carrying it. At least I learned what to do to silence them when they went off. They're tiny but LOUD. Within hours of installing the sensors, one was triggered by a leak and we were able to determine the general area where water is getting into the basement. The app notified me on my phone and tablet and I could hear the alarm in the basement from my second floor bedroom. I was able to silence the alarm from my phone so it was not waking the neighborhood at 2am.

It paid for itself many times over.
I use this in an RV in the water heater cabinet which has several valves and junctions. RV plumbing can be a bit janky so i feel better monitoring for leaks. One night this sensor caught a small puddle from a dripping threaded pipe adaptor and provided an unmistakable alert. I fixed the issue immediately before the water had a chance to roam about and soak all the cabinetry. Highly recommend!!!

Sensitive
Very sensitive, I got lots of false alarms when it was placed on bare, seemingly dry concrete. Solved this by putting it on a thin piece of cardboard (that will inevitably get wet and trip it when an actual leak occurs.) So maybe not the best option for a basement, but works well in other places, like under my sink.

Saved me 5x (so far..) over just 3 months
I got these because I just moved into a new house and was paranoid between the size of the place and distrust for the prior owner. They are possibly the single greatest investment I've ever made. They've saved me 5 times now in the last 3 months from serious damage.3x under my kitchen sink (2 unrelated leaks)1x my hot water tank start spraying water1x a bathroom sink drainI'm writing this review because it just saved me again. So happy with this product.(And this is a very lovely home! You wouldn't expect any of these leaks to have occurred...)

Helped me stop a leak before it could do any damage
The pipe for my hose started leaking in my basement after I turned it on. I got the alert on my phone right away and turned the hose off before there could be any damage. Really glad I had this set up, otherwise I would have kept running the hose and not noticed.

Don't consider any other leak detector over this one!
I can't begin to tell you the stress I have over leak detectors. I bought a D-LINK several years ago that was impossible to set up and as of 2023, the company decided that they weren't going to support the product anymore. This left countless owners out in the cold with an app that no longer supported their detector. So, I had to consider finding a new leak detector system. And, let me tell you, it wasn't an easy task. I poured through more than a dozen such detectors on Amazon reading reviews that didn't convince me there was any reliable enough system worth investing my money in......that is until I came to X-Sense. There were some very encouraging Amazon reviews touting this as the best product of its kind with ease of setup and exceptional performance for indicating water leakage.Let me tell you, this product exceeded ALL expectations. To begin with, I was fearing the setup process knowing what I had gone through when I set up my D-LINK.Shortly after purchase, the manufacturer sent me an email with a link to an online doc with what I am assuming was an updated installation guide. This was something I very much appreciated as it showed that the manufacturer was still taking an interest in making certain that its customers had a favorable installation experience. And get this...installation took under 7 minutes and it was completely effortless and flawless. The big thing to keep in mind when installing is that this won't connect to a 5GHz network, which is what most home routers are outputting. To get around this, all you need to do is create a guest network that generally broadcasts in the preferred 2.5 GHz band that this device needs to connect to.I started with the base installation and which took less than a minute to complete. You simply download the X-Sense app and it walks you through the process. After that, adding any one of the 3 satellite leak detectors takes even less time. You push a button and it connects to the base station. We have a very large home and I was very happy to see that the signal range in which the base and satellites communicate with each other is pretty immense. There has been no problem with a signal loss between devices.Once everything was connected I did a quick test where I placed one of the satellite detectors in my sink and ran a small stream of water. As soon as the water hit the sensors on the bottom of the detector, a loud alarm on the base station went off and a notification was sent to my iPhone. WOW! Could it be THIS EASY?I have never seen something like this come together so easily. It was so effortless to set this up.What you get in the box are one base station and 3 satellite detectors. You also get a power cord and brick for the base station. I would advise centralizing the base location in your home. The app is very good with one major annoyance that has been talked about in other reviews here. The plus is that the app is well laid out and easy to use. It offers a terrific one-glance look at your activated system, its online status, and battery levels. And speaking of batteries, they are easily replaceable. On the downside, I wish the developer would update the app so users are not annoyed by the advertisement to purchase extra protection. It's fine to read about it once, but I shouldn't have annoying reminders pop up when using the app. It's really ruining a perfect experience. Perhaps in an update, the software developer can fix this.Other than that, I am just ecstatic about this purchase. I still can't believe it took mere minutes to set everything up without any of the errors and hassles one expects from these products. If you are looking for the perfect leak detector system, I can't fathom you can do any better than this at the approx. $50 price point.
