... will give you and the family a lot of fun over the Christmas period
If you're looking for a quick game to learn that will give you and the family a lot of fun over the Christmas period, then this is the game for you. Its fun, it gives younger children the chance to recognise the features and play their cards so that they can win. Its easy, its an absolute hoot for adults and to be honest my kids loved the style of play. All round a great piece of fun and one that I see my Dad stealing for Christmas with the grandkids. Great fun.

Fun, if unoriginal
This is an amusing game for youngsters but it’s essentially just a fresh face (haha) on a rehash of various other games. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t buy it – we’ve certainly had some fun with it. Just don’t expect anything very original. The Cheatwell website says 8+, Amazon says 6+. In fact, our 4-year-old grandson has no trouble playing it. He does regularly play other board games, though, such as Coppit (also rated age 6+). For a child new to board games, 6+ for this one is probably about right. We like the fact that adults and chidren can play the game together without the adults getting bored silly. We’ve very much enjoyed it over the weekend and are delighted to have it.

good for a rainy day
this is a good children's game that can be played with family or friends. you have to match features on a main base with cards in your hand with the aim to lose all your cards to win. everyone plays at the same time so its quite fast and can be a laugh.not the best children's game out there, and how often it will be played I don't know but it is a not over expensive game which the whole family can play.

Fun for all the family
This is a very simple game, after years of wading through complex instructions this is a relief. It also has nect to no set up. Another bonus from a parentd point of view! My ten year old liked the quick, crazy nature of the game... this would be fun fir families with mixed age children as all could understand and join in, from around 3 plus. With no small pieces, there's nothing to stop younger children joining in.My one criticism is that it could be a bit more varied on faces.

Decent paced, wipe clean, fun!
Quite fun, this is a mix of the classic guess who mixed with snap. Getting started is fairly easy and play is quickly paced, so long as you don't let the kids sit and pout too much. Repeat play is fun, and once the ball is rolling you can get through maybe four games in an hour. You do need to be sat around together though, you can't play this as a passing thing, or with the kids as they play, you need to be part of the action and fully engaged. The box is neatly presented, with plastic inserts holding everything inside. The printed cards are decent quality and will wipe clean, so play with some treats around! Nothing will get ruined. The one star removal however is, really the re-playability is low, if you play through all the faces you could be stuck for anything new to find in the pack.

Simple and fun update of Snap!
My family really enjoyed this game. We have two adults and a 6 and 9 year old and played as two teams. It is much like a game of snap but with 4 dimensions for hair, eyes, mouth and nose. A face card is turned over and then it is a free for all to get the first card on the space for the eyes, mouth, nose or hair. You might get one or two down or the other players might beat you to it. The winner is the person who runs out of cards the fastest. The beginning of the game is hard, looking at all the masses of cards but the end game with just a few left is full of tension and excitement. It's not a "great" game but it is simple and fun. It is a game where 10 year olds can beat their parents!

Not a favourite, sorry.
We are lovers of board games and always welcome new games to the fold. Face Race is reasonably priced but I can't see that it will last for a long time - the 'cards' are far too flimsy for that to happen. Two sets of double sided cards are provided - 30 cards in each of the two piles. 4 jigsaw type pieces go together to make up the circle of the board itself; these pieces are quite robust and should last for many years.I am finding it hard to conjure up any enthusiasm about this game because I feel that it would have been better if it had a real set of rules rather than just a free-for-all 'everyone simultaneously search their set of cards for a matching card to the target card and place a matching card on one of the 4 outer rings with images on - as fast as possible'. That fact is going to very quickly result in some squashed up cards due to cards being grabbed in a hurry rather than being selected, so to speak. The "Cheatwell" tag did bring a smile to my face, however.
