I bought this to replace a Mason Pearson hairbrush and love it! A sliver of the MP cost but might as well be that product! Excellent boar and nylon bristles, soft but firm. Hand sized and attractive. A must for fine hair, detangling and shine.

I don’t write reviews. Upon receiving my hairbrush, I am so impressed that I absolutely have to compliment this absolutely awesome hairbrush!!! Beautifully came in a gorgeous flowered box made it difficult to remove the brush from the box. I especially love this BRUSH!! Feels exceptional on my scalp. I am 77 years young and never ever have purchased a hairbrush this enjoyable! Thank you. Can’t tell my granddaughter as she’d take my brush. The reason for buying this one. She did me a favor

The brush comes in really nice box and has a plastic covering on the back of the brush. It seems to be a really nice brush, my only disappointment was when I took the plastic covering off of the back of the brush, it tore some of the metallic covering off of the back, leaving a white whole on the back. I bought this for my nine year old granddaughter who loves and begs to use my Mason Pearson. I tried the Misel brush and it seems nice and detangles my thin long hair that goes to the the bottom of my back and left my hair very smooth. Her hair is shoulder length and thick and curly/wavy so I'm hoping it does as good of a job on her hair as well. However, it is a Christmas gift and we won't know until then! From my own experience I would say it's nice for the cost - especially for the cost! The body of the brush seems a good quality, it has a smooth and glossy look/feel, and comfortable to hold. However, it is a bit smaller than I expected, not quite as large as my Mason Pearson, which I am accustomed to. The bristles seem good and sturdy and the rubber pad seems stiff. I was worried that it might be too stiff but after I tried it I realized that it was indeed comfortable on the scalp. The nylon bristles do not have the ball tips and one might think that they feel scratchy but they actually don't scratch. That's something I realized with my Mason Pearson when I first got it. I had been used to ball tip type brushes but the problem with those is that the tips come off after awhile and those do scratch and then hairs get stuck in them and break your hair. So I do think that I will be pleased with the brush's performance and am hoping it lasts. One of my main influences with this purchase is that IT IS NOT MADE IN CHINA! My second reason is the nylon/ boar bristles, and the smooth finish on the body. I read some reviews of how people are cleaning these type brushes. Personally I don't think you should be using water and soap. The rubber will dry out and ruin the brush. It needs to be cleaned using the cleaning brush for the Misel and more like a dry cleaning. My advice would be to follow instructions for the Mason Pearson on how to clean the hairbrush as there's some really BAD advice out there!!!

I have an old Mason Pearson brush that I wanted to replace with something newer, but at a lower price point. This Misel brush was a really solid choice. The bristles are stiff enough to brush through my thick hair and work out knots without pulling or snapping the hairs. I highly recommend this brush.

Best brush I've used!

Not bad, but not the best one out there for thinner, straight hair. Because the nylon bristles are so much longer than the boar's bristles, I feel like it's hard to reach the boar's bristles all the way to my hair, let alone my scalp. Instead, the long nylon ones do all the brushing and I have to press down so hard, or lift up sections of my hair, to actually get the boar's bristles through the hair, which is the whole purpose of the brush. Not a bad brush, just probably better for thicker hair that can really reach all the shorter boar's bristles. Unfortunately being used, it's not really something I can return, so may try to pass it off to a friend. Sidenotes: I'd wondered why they labeled this larger one "medium" instead of large (not sure if they make a large?) and now I see why. It is definitely on the smaller end of full size brushes, but I like this-- easier to take traveling! And I love the simple, shiny black design.

I have naturally straight hair, but fairly thick for my age. Due to colouring my hair since 18 years old, I need to take a really good care of my hair to keep it healthy. This brush is an absolute bless and made ahuge difference to the look of my hair.
