My gas meter is attached to the wall in the porch, not in a meter box . Would this item be suitable to cover it up by attaching it to the wall?

My meters are recessed into the wall this cover would not be deep enough to cover a meter... sorry

Would this fit over a wall mounted meter box? The door and hinges have broken but the rest is in good condition.

Hi, that is exactly what I used it for and it worked perfectly. It was very easy to install. You will need to check the dimensions of your existing box to make sure that the new is large enough to fit over it as I don’t know if all wall mounted meter boxes are the same size. I hope this helps.
