Wonderful shot of espresso
Been through a number of Breville espresso machines. On a whim ordered this one after my last breville went caput. It was on sale and I ordered it. This machine makes an excellent shot of espresso. I could not be happier. Far exceeded my expectation. All of my large cups fit under the shot extraction site. Clean, streamlined easy to use. Love the attachment for the bean grinds. NO messes. I am overjoyed at this machine.

Love it!
I’ve been using this machine for about a month now but I wanted to use all the features and give it some time before I wrote a review. I was a barista for several years and this is my fourth? at-home espresso machine in a few years, and I LOVE it. I genuinely didn’t know you could make espresso with bright crema on top at home until I got this machine. The texture of my lattes is smoother and creamier, the quality is better, and it’s so easy to use. I’ll start with the cons because I only have a few: •the steaming wand doesn’t move as much as others I’ve used and if I have a full pitcher of milk I either have to life the machine or spill the milk to remove it once it’s steamed. It also occasionally takes a bit of time to get going.. initially it seemed like it was getting slower over time but it seems more sporadic now. •the auto shutoff is way too quick, IMO. PROS: •The water tank and drip tray are both really large and do not have to be refilled or emptied often •very straightforward and easy to use once you figure out your initial preferences •there are several options for grind level, water heat, etc and once you figure out the best one for your coffee it makes really high quality espresso every time •the double shot is larger than most which I really like, but there’s also the single shot option • it’s SO easy and mess-free to grind and tamp the beans •milk frother can get milk really hot, and really smooth •I love the americano option, it makes things so easy • the cold brew is pretty good considering how quickly it can be made

Not what you expect at this price
Title: Grinder dies early, warranty feels predatory – not what you expect at this price Review: If you’re buying this machine for “years of café‑quality espresso at home,” lower your expectations. The entire pitch is built around the integrated grinder, but in real life the grinder behaves like a disposable part with a very short fuse. Mine failed under normal household use in a timeframe that is completely unacceptable for an appliance at this price point. There is nothing in the product page or manual that prepares you for how fragile and temperamental this grinder is. You are led to believe you’re buying a durable, long‑life espresso setup. What you actually get is a nice‑looking machine with a grinder that clogs, jams, and then simply stops working, long before you’d reasonably expect any major component to “wear out.” The worst part is not just the failure, it’s what happens next. Once the grinder dies, you discover how stacked the deck is against the customer. Returns are restricted or disabled, so instead of a straightforward return you’re forced into a warranty maze where the burden shifts to you: unbox and re‑box the unit, perform video “proof” on demand, schedule calls, and jump through hoops that aren’t disclosed up front and aren’t spelled out in the warranty itself. The practical effect is to wear you down until you give up on getting a proper fix or replacement. This is exactly the kind of consumer‑unfriendly pattern people mean when they talk about “predatory” warranty practices. The product is marketed as a long‑term investment, but the grinder doesn’t last like one, and the support process feels designed more to filter out claims than to stand behind the machine. If you value honest expectations, reasonable durability, and straightforward support when something breaks, think very carefully before buying this model—or at least assume the grinder’s real life expectancy is far shorter than the sales pitch suggests.

Worth the wait
TLDR I love it. This is my first espresso machine, I had it in my wishlist for like 7 years, the instructions were very appreciated! The shots it has produced for the past month and some change have all been consistently smooth as well. It fits perfect where our old drip coffee maker used to go, the counter had a bit unused space and now it looks like it always belonged there. Despite using filtered water I did have to descale it a few days ago, but that's just from brewing so much. I bought this while it was on sale, which was still a pretty penny, BUT it's pretty sweet. (The glasses I'm using were originally mousse cups from the store)

Excellent Espresso Machine with One Design Flaw—Easy Fix If the Grinder Stops Working
I've owned this machine since May 2024, and it has made excellent coffee every day. The espresso, Americanos, and cappuccinos all come out consistently hot, flavorful, and with a wonderful aroma. Grinding fresh beans for each cup really makes a difference, and having the grinder built into the machine means there's no need for a separate countertop grinder. It also has a premium look without taking up too much counter space. The grinder is moderately loud, which is expected, but the brewing process itself is surprisingly quiet. After about two years of regular use, the grinder stopped working. I initially thought the machine would need to be sent in for repair since it was no longer under warranty. After doing some research, I found a YouTube video explaining how to disassemble the machine and clean the grinder. It turned out the grinder wasn't broken at all—it had become clogged with coffee bean oils. The repair was much easier than I expected, and once cleaned, it was back to working normally. Pros: - Consistently makes excellent espresso, Americanos, and cappuccinos - Coffee is hot, aromatic, and full of flavor - Built-in grinder saves counter space and eliminates the need for a separate grinder - Attractive, premium-looking design - Compact footprint - Brewing process is quiet Cons: - The grinder can become clogged with coffee oils over time. - The only way to thoroughly clean the grinder is to partially disassemble the machine. - I wish De'Longhi would redesign it so the grinder could be accessed and cleaned from the top without taking the machine apart. Overall, I still think this is an excellent espresso machine. The built-in grinder is a great feature, and once I understood how to maintain it, I had no regrets about buying it. If your grinder suddenly stops working, don't assume it's broken—check to see if it simply needs a good cleaning before paying for repairs.

The De'Longhi La Specialista Arte Evo is a powerhouse when it comes to making espressos. It has consistently extracted the perfect espresso shot and extracts a good amount of flavor. I use medium light roast beans as it is my preferred bean. The espresso always comes out not too acidic, which I like best. The setup was extremely easy due to the 1 button press to flush the machine before use. I also really like how easy it is to clean. The disassembly of the water reservoir and the machine as a whole was super quick. This is a big plus as I buy machines for convenience, not to create more work for myself. One of my all time favorite features of this espresso machine is the pressure gauge and the adjustible brew temperatures. Being able to play around with the temperature and set it to my preferred temperature has been a godsend. I have been able to make my perfect espresso shit just by having this feature. The pressure gauge also lets me monitor the extraction. Another cool feature is the grinder. It has many settings to ensure proper grind size. I can get rid of my stand alone grinder and use one machine instea of two. Another nify feature is the built in steam wand. I still need to work on my latte art and my steam wand skills, but I love how I can learn how to make latte art with this machine as well. Lastly, I wanted to give De'Longhi a shoutout for the many accessories it comes with (including a tamp and even different sized baskets). With all these cool features, I would highly recommend this espresso machine to anyone who loves espressos/coffees/lattes. I haven't had a bad extraction and it is definitely going to save me a lot of money. I no longer have to go out to a coffee shop. I can just make the perfect coffee in my own home!

The Espresso Machine That Delivers
I recently got this espresso machine and it’s been a fantastic blend of manual control and convenience. The sleek, professional design with a brushed stainless-steel finish looks great in my kitchen and its compact size makes it easy to fit on the countertop without taking up too much space. The controls are intuitive with easy-to-use dials for adjusting grind size, temperature, and extraction modes letting me personalize my coffee just how I like it. The manual steam wand is another highlight giving me the ability to create creamy microfoam for lattes and cappuccino. It does take a little practice to perfect but once you get the hang of it, the control over the milk’s texture and temperature really elevates the coffee experience. One feature I didn’t expect to use as much but now love is the cold brew setting. Instead of waiting hours like with traditional cold brew, this machine can brew smooth, cold coffee in under 5 minutes! It’s a game changer for anyone who loves cold brew but doesn’t want to wait around all day. Though the machine leans a bit more towards the manual side, it’s still beginner-friendly. Yes, there’s a learning curve, but it’s totally worth it for the precision and control you get. Whether I’m making an espresso shot, frothing milk for a latte or quickly brewing cold brew, this machine delivers professional-level results at home without the hefty café price. Overall, the La Specialista Evo Arte is a excellent choice, especially for those looking to refine their barista skills or try something new like cold brew. It combines quality and user-friendly features at a reasonable price point. It’s a great buy and a solid investment for any coffee lover who wants a professional-level experience right at home, anytime.
