BEST most RELIABLE for SECURITY CAMERAS-No need 2 Rely on Internet or Power!
I bought this based on all the positive reviews and was needing to find something that didn't rely on power or internet. I paid more than what it is advertised for now but still worth it! The night vision I have to say isn't the greatest....but it's okay. I guess I was expecting it to be a little better based on the images I saw but I also have to say that if you live in an area that gets REALLY hot, this little guy can really stand up to heat well over 100 degrees! I forget what the exact temperature is that it says it can go up to, but I do have it in an area where it gets a little bit of shade. The most frustrating thing about the traditional security cameras like I said is that they all want to rely on internet or power so when I happened to come across trail cams I was elated! I do have to say by my own fault (I should have known better) I used the crappy batteries that came with it and they only lasted just over 2 weeks. In fact, when reviewing the images/clips from the SD card I saw that even though they were full when I put them in, they went down to half full after only two days lol. So ya, I should have known not to trust the cheap batteries but thankfully I kept an eye on it and noticed the IR wasn't coming on as much one night, and the second night not at all. The 3rd night I took it down and the issue was the dead batteries. Other than that I am impressed with what it captures. I really recommend this to anyone who is mobile as well, whether that is van life, car camping, rv, etc. bc you can still have a security system without having to worry about the issues I already mentioned. I've never understood even in a regular home how the security cameras that depend on internet and power function when those go out...but that's not for me to figure out. All I have to say that this is a SOLID option and unless you have someone who is looking for it, you can easily find a semi-discreet spot for it. Other than that, it's a deterrent for people who see it's there and may have ill intentions. The daytime images and video are impressive quality in my opinion and as far as the format they are in, I just popped the SD card in my laptop which is a few years old and I had no issue with them playing or showing. Def gonna be buying more! I also likes that this comes with a SD card already in it and programmed. (Make sure to read the directions-it's already inside the trail cam for you!). The setup and directions and simple. Other than the crappy batteries it comes with, this thing is solid and reliable, especially if you are using it for security purposes. I can't recommend it enough!!!!

My first trail cam, worked fine, easy to use.
Bought this to monitor a mangey suburban fox, we were medicating.Motion sensor worked fine, good clear pics and video day or night, view screen small but serviceable.A good value for the money, shallow learning curve.

Very good value for the money!
These are actually very good and cheap enough to be able to to get a 1/2 dz, I set them up where one camera watches at least 1 or 2 of the other cams. This allows you to watch the other cams for tampering. The video is exceptional, always use thec128gig SDs they last for 3-4 weeks

First impressions
This is a solid camera with great image and video quality. The settings are also accurately described. The highest sensitivity and highest resolution setting filled my memory card up with 30 gb of a leaf that got stuck in front of the camera the first night, so I am adjusting my settings to low-res and middle sensitivity. Don't get me wrong, the leaf videos looked gorgeous, it just wasn't what I was trying to get.I like that it doesn't have a bunch of gimmicks like an app or a delicate touch screen. It has solid physical buttons and the UI is intuitive and easy to navigate. I do not have any of the alternate power options (solar or AC adapter) so I can't speak to these options, but I can say that the ports are covered by a rubber plug to keep them clean and dry. The hinge, gasket, and clasp are all solid too, I don't see the insides getting water-damaged anytime soon.It uses 4 AA batteries (starter batteries are already included) and also has a 32gb microSD card and adapter installed so you are ready to go out of the box. The strap is about 5 ft long so it can wrap around a tree about a foot-and-a-half in diameter. There is also mounting hardware, which I had to use because the trees around here are a bit too big.If there is a negative, it would be that the screen seems a little sluggish in the deep cold. I assume that is just a limitation of LCD displays or it could be the batteries were getting low. I'm putting fresh batteries in and will see how it performs going forward. If my opinion changes down the road, I will amend my review.TLDR: As long as you fine-tune your settings, I think this camera is a great buy for anybody looking for a no-gimmicks approach to seeing what goes on in the dark.
