I cannot tell for certain if this is authentic or not but everything does seem to be very much real. It does have the normal striations that you typically see in black tourmaline and it does carry a bit of weight as well as coolness to the touch of it. I'm very very happy with the amounts that I got in a bag and I do recommend it if you're looking for bulk in black tourmaline.

I'm a big black tourmaline kind of girl. I've carried it daily and kept a piece by my bed for almost a decade straight now. In that time, I've learned that not all tourmaline being sold is good quality or even actually tourmaline (especially when polishied.) I was kind of expected low quality with this purchase, if I'm being honest. However! What I got was a huge amount of mid to high quality pieces instead, and for a fantastic price, at that!I am so, so satisfied with this company!

I admit that I had higher expectations for this tourmaline but all in all, I think it will be usable. I use lots of stones and I was hoping to get something that was medium grade (did not really need terminations, just striations) for a batch of earrings I'm making. The good news is that it is black tourmaline and it is mostly decent quality, if you don't need it in the raw form and plan to tumble or polish it (relatively few cracks, minor inclusions of something reddish, hard to tell what it is). The not-so-good news for me personally because I needed them to have decent quality raw is that there are about 4-5 stones out of the bag that I could utilize in some way with some work. The rest look like they might have been handled pretty roughly and other than tumbling them, I won't be able to do much with them. Obviously, every bag is different, so hard to predict what will be in the next one but this is what I got. Photo of all the stones in the bag on a paper towel (they haven't been washed).

I wasn't expecting much, as far as quality at this price point for black tourmaline. I have easily paid double the price of this 1lb of black tourmaline for one black tourmaline bracelet. So, I was pleased when I opened the package and felt the vibrational resonance of the stones in my hand. The stones were large, raw and of great quality. I had enough to place around my home, as well carry on my person. The pure resonance and quality seem so good, that I question the authenticity and quality of the black tourmaline jewelry that I've purchased for double or triple the money I paid for this. Great quality and price!
