Wow, this is an excellent blender
Have thrown frozen fruit at it and it got through it with ease, this is a really heavy duty and high quality blender. One of the reviews suggests that the drive mechanism slipped I really can not see how this is possible because as soon as the jug lifts the power is cut off, but you should never lift the jug while the units is on.The big jug capacity is a huge 2 litres and the small single serve jug is 600ml. Have used both and they cover all my needs. So if you are after something robust and do not want to spend hundreds of pounds but still want a good quality blender then you seriously can not go wrong with this blender. And remember it comes with a 3 year warranty.

Keeps blowing up
When I got this I was very impressed with the blender. It Looked great on the kitchen tops. I used it for a month or so, mainly to mash potatoes and it was great. But then it blew up. I contacted the seller and had a brand new blender within 2 days. Brilliant service. I used the new blender as per normal, but sadly it blew up again. It wasn't the fuse that went, something inside the blender went bang. Now I am returning it for a refund. Hopefully the manufacturers will work out why it blew and correct the issue. Then it will be a brilliant kitchen tool.

NOISE
This is undoubtedly a versatile and basically very good machine; I use it almost exclusively to produce soups and milk drinks which it does very well. Its major problem is that it is appallingly loud when running, to the extent that I would expect it to cause hearing damage to anybody standing close to it for any time. When using the machine I close all kitchen windows and the external door so as not to run the risk of a (justifiable) complaint from the neighbour; having shut these windows and the external door, I then switch on the machine and retreat to another room in my house or into the garden until the machine has stopped. I would have been happy to give the machine 4 stars had it not been for the noise problem; this shortcoming has cost it 2 stars, so overall rating is 2 stars out of 5.The machine has a clear notice sensibly placed on the side of the 'single serve' cutting unit, advising which side of the unit should face the front and giving warnings about the blades if it is used incorrectly. However, in the 3 months or so which I have had the machine, the writing has almost all rubbed off, purely from minimal finger movement and is now illegible.Given the versatility of this machine and the extent of what it can do, it is surprising that the recipes extend to only about14 small pages of small print at the end of the instruction booklet. Will I keep the machine and continue to use it? Yes, because it basically does a very good job, and I can avoid the deafening row it makes when running by leaving the kitchen and going elsewhere in the house or garden. What would I reply to someone who asked if they should buy one? I would say that it is a very good machine in almost every way but, I would have to add, I would not be able to recommend it to them until the noise problem was solved.Would I buy another one. I hope this one wouldn't wear out! However, if it did need replacing I wouldn't buy it again unless I was satisfied that the noise problem had ben solved.I haven't commented on 'sheerness' or 'thickness' because I don't know to what they refer.

This is an very robust and impressive machine
This is the third blender/soup maker I have purchased in the past 18 months. The previous machines have broken within a few months. I have been using this model daily for the past 4 months and it has proven reliable and efficient, outperforming its predecessors. It is a heavy machine which probably is why it feels so robust. It has four suckers as feet which anchors it to the work surface and doesn't wander when in use. It also self cleans with a cup full of water and a drop of washing up liquid. My wife is currently on a (health induced) liquid diet and this machine will liquidize a full roast dinner in a short 30-second burst. My only criticism is that the rubber gasket around the lid could be a little tighter and you need to make sure it is fully in place before switching on otherwise you may lose a little of the content. This is the only reason I haven't given a 5-star rating. Having said that, it has only caught me out on two occasions.

Disappointed
Such a beautiful mixer! Unfortunately it didn’t live up to it’s great reviews! The beater didn’t reach the sides or the bottom of the bowl! Left at least an inch above the beater where the mix was left! Was very disappointed as it looks so lovely just not up to the job!

Stunning looking mixer worth buying!
This is an amazing stand mixer! I was researching into a few different mixers when i came across this, which wasn't too expensive for a stunning looking mixer with a high wattage motor. This particular stand mixer didn't have many reviews available on other sites or any videos on YouTube explaining what it was like to use. So, I wasn't sure what to expect and went off the few reviews available and decided to invest in one. I'm so glad I did. The attachments reach the bottom of the bowl when mixing and I only scrape down the bowl once or twice to give a good thorough mix as you should to incorporate the ingredients. The speed settings are great and start off slow, and the suction cups at the bottom are so strong, holding the blender in place. The rose gold colour of the mixer makes it look great for display on the worktop and the overall quality of the mixer and attachments seems like it will last a long time.

Really quite dangerous!!
I was v excited to start using my Crux soup maker today, however it has the most stupid design ever. The jug just doesn't attach to the base with any sort of lock-in arrangement, it just kind of sits there. So when I started using the Clean function the jug lifted off from the base!! It also had a v strange burning sort of smell. And when it lifted off, bits of metal shavings had sprayed onto the base. Needless to say, I unplugged it and it's being sent back to amazon. Avoid at all costs.
