GFW Desk, Wood, Oak, 100 x 70 x 88 cm

Perfect desk solution in case you dont have a lot of space for full desk. Bought it for out living room, very compact and looks very nice. Happy with my purchase :)

I bought this to use as a computer desk that doesn't take up too much space but has plenty of room for all the peripherals and for this purpose it's been great. It's nice and stable and a good size for my pc. The finish of the desk looks pretty good but unfortunately is actually just chipboard with a wood veneer so is a bit fragile and you can't really sand or paint it but that's not a big problem for me.I found that the desk works best when it is secured to the wall behind it as it will not move when you try to pull the drawer section out. This is another aspect of the desk design that would have benefited from a solid wood construction, as a heavier desk would be less likely to move.All in all I'm happy with it but a bit disappointed that the manufacturer doesn't offer a higher quality option as I would happily pay extra for that

I bought this thinking it was great as a space saving desk. However, as many previous reviews, the instructions were poorly written and at many steps incorrectly stated. We took over 4 hours to build it.The quality of the material was poor and looks like it needed 2 more coats of paint as you can still see the board underneath which gave the desk very grey tone rather the white colour in the advertised photo. I had a pen stain on it, so I went to wipe it off with normal household cleaner, the paint almost all came off. Do not waste your money on this. I hate it so much, I gave it away and bought another desk

bought this as i need a home office, but don't have the space for a full desk. The instructions are well laid out (through 11 steps), clearly identifying which components are required for each step. Not being a 'visual learner' however, i don't do well with pictorial instructions. I confess i left it lying for a couple of weeks as the instructions looked too complicated and quite scary! It took me 4 hours to put it together, though eat least half that time was spent pouring over the diagrams wondering what they meant! There were a couple of places where the instructions seemed to be telling me to do the wrong thing (i did the opposite of what they proposed and it worked), though i do find the drawers don't shut flush with the main unit (through that doesn't relate to the instructions i changed).I had intended to paint it to match the other furniture in my room, but hadn't realised (though it is mentioned in the product description), that the 'veneer' is paper (or foil), so would not i think stand up to much sanding to 'key' for paint. All in all, i'm pleased with the result and think it will be a useful desk. It's difficult to find affordable designs that really do give adaptable use of space, so this is a winner on that front!

not easy to put together, the dowels were missing from pack. other than that every thing else was ok

Awful quality, awful customer service.Not only was I supplied with the wrong sliders for the 2 drawers at the front, which the company denied they had sent the wrong ones and eventually stopped replying to me. I had to buy more sliders just so I could put the drawers on. This added to the cost of this already expensive desk.It is not sturdy enough. I have had it up a week, and been pulling it out and putting it back a couple of times a day and the main sliders have already bent and the extending part keeps falling off, taking all my work off with it.Stay clear of this, it's an expensive price for a really rubbish desk.

Actually better than I thought after reading some of the reviews. It's great when space is a concern, looks lovely and just perfect for my daughters room in readiness for her A level revision.It arrived on time, was well packed and took my 16 & 13 years olds about an hour and a half to put together. So far very pleased with it.
