J-20 Mighty Dragon Fighter, Air Force Fighter Jet Building Block Set, Military Aircraft Display Brick Sets Toy for Adult Gift Giving (1,106 Pieces)…

This is an awesome lego look-a-like. We haven’t done one of these before and we are looking forward to tackling this project this holiday season. We did open the box to check out the pieces, and they are really similar to the traditional lego. The pieces are maybe just a smidge thinner, but they are definitely of sound quality. The instruction booklet is very nice and will be easy to follow as we build the set.So far a 5-star rating based on quality of the building blocks, packaging, and instructions. This would be a GREAT Christmas gift. Much less expensive than the popular alternative.I plan to come back to amend this review following completion of the build.

My son really enjoyed building this jet. He found it just challenging enough to keep his attention.

This is an exceptionally detailed model for the true “Lego” enthusiast. It includes incredible details and a very diverse set of “specialty” bricks, as well as internal electrical lighting and numerous moving surfaces.The documentation is quite detailed, but lacks some clarity compared to other brands. The diagrams are small and many parts are similar in color - making it more difficult to tell which of similar parts are required for multi-stage assembly tasks.Model parts are separated into numbered bags, but each numbered stage in the assembly includes several bags with no obvious sorting, requiring a search through each bag to locate specific parts or dumping all the bags into a single container and digging through all of them. This did not add to the build experience. Additionally, assembly includes steps that leave the model in a fragile state for quite long periods while separate assembly steps are performed, asking for problems.Definitely a serious challenge for the builder, but still an enchanting and highly unusual model.

The media could not be loaded. This is a really fun build. Expert difficulty and it makes quite a large model. There are so many fun features. The missile bay doors open, the hatches for the vtol system open and the nozzles flip down. The canards even rotate and there are lights built in. I highly recommend this set to any expert builder into military planes.There are a few things to mention however. The biggest is the instructions. These are not the highest quality and are very unclear sometimes. At several points I had to move things around because something from a previous step wasn’t clear enough. Also the strength of the build isn’t the best. This is a display model not a toy. If handled to much it will break even without meaning to. Finally, this isn’t a flaw just something to note. The included decals aren’t stickers. They are dry transfers. In the end these look much better, however they are harder to apply and take way more time than stickers. None of this, however, takes away from a solid 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded. I have never heard of the Boolakos brand before coming across this J-20 Mighty Dragon Fighter plane but after seeing the detail of it online I decided to go for it and order it. I haven't started it yet but I am definitely not disappointed after looking through the box and manual!It has 1,106 pieces and a large clear instruction manual. There's also a lot of decals to put on once completed. The box itself is 10.25" x 7.75" x 4.75" so it's larger than I thought. The pieces all come in in sealed label numbered bags which is great and makes things a whole lot easier than searching through the whole pile together for individual pieces. The pieces themselves look very well-made and much like Legos.The only negative was that the Chinese-built J-20 was the only option and there weren't any other plane options. The J-20 still is a very sharp-looking plane with great performance so I am still happy to have this in my collection. I will update down the road along with pictures of it completed. As I now I definitely recommend!

This is a little higher on the difficulty scale so if you are new in the building blocks world, this isn't going to be for you. Some of the instructions are difficult to follow so it helps if you already have an innate understanding. Everything went together smoothly and the product is satisfying and great to have on display.

This is an advanced build and the jet looks smashing. Not the "real" thing, but definitely worth it.

As a fan of both LEGO and fighter jets, I eagerly anticipated the arrival of this fighter jet block set. In the initial stages of building, I'm pleased to report that the instructions are clear, and the blocks fit together seamlessly. I'm looking forward to completing the build and will provide a more detailed review soon. It's worth noting that this set offers fantastic value, priced at under $60, which is a steal compared to many LEGO sets of a similar scale.
