Battery ampere hours (Ah) are important
Quality is as expected from craftsman in their battery powered tools. The weight is well balanced, which makes this tiller easier to use.Value for money is a good ratio, as we’ve tried more and less expensive tillers (also battery powered) that have worked worse.Power and Performance: this is where the Ah is important. The tiller preformed okay using a fully charged 20v 2Ah battery, and each step up in Ah the performance and power was better. The 4Ah battery broke up harder chunks of dirt, and the 9Ah battery cut through the dirt/soil/random trash that was apparently buried in our front yard like room temperature butter. If you need a more powerful tiller than a handheld one for small gardens, you will need either a front line tiller (moderate tilling/medium areas) or rear line tiller (heavy/large area tilling).

Excellent quality 20V tiller/cultivator!
If you are looking for a 20 V garden or yard tiller/cultivator, look no further! I highly recommend this model.Given that this is a Craftsman tool, you know the quality is going to be there as well as the company to stand behind their product. The package arrived quickly, in my case in two days. Set up is super easy consisting of putting one screw through the handle for tightening and one screw through the handle to secure it. This is the tool only version. You can purchase craftsman 20 V batteries and chargers separately. I would not purchase anything less a 5Ah battery, preferably a 6. I already have multiple Dewalt batteries so I purchased a converter piece (not sold by Craftsman) to allow me to use my Dewalt batteries on the Craftsman tool. They work flawlessly. The tiller has two speeds. I only use high. It tills 8 inches wide and about 6 inches deep. If your soil is soft, something like a garden box with planting soil, this will rip through it with no effort at all. Otherwise, you do need to exert considerable energy pushing the tiller down into hard soil. But as you can see in the video, it will do a fantastic job for what it is designed for. If you need to do serious roto tilling, this is definitely not the right tool for you. But if you are looking for something portable, easy to maneuver for this kind of job, it is perfect!

Battery not included
I can't verify if it has 50 minutes of run time because it has no battery. or charger. Disappointing

Excellent tiller for raised beds
Made quick work of my garden beds, each bed is elevated between 36” and 64” in depth from the ground just stacked logs and soil inside. Instead of pitch forks and shovels I was able to stand in the beds and till the soil no problem standing up saving Time and my Back
