This outdoor landscape light is exactly what I wanted. The design is simple and the lighting effect is subtle.Unobtrusive with clean, simple lines, this light perfectly compliments my modern, minimalist sensibility. Instead of the typical blare and blast of white light that most outdoor fixtures have, this product -- from SLAWA -- puts out a subtle and muted glow. The effect is very polished and professional.The item is meant to be hardwired like other outdoor fixtures. However, since it's only about 15" high and fairy lightweight, it will actually work well as a portable porch lamp. That's what I actually wanted! I purchased a Bergen power cord for about $7.50 and attached it using electrical nuts. It was a very simply DYI fix that only took minutes.I have nothing negative to say about the sturdy, well-designed lamp itself. However, I must note that the aluminum top piece arrived bent on one side. There is no way for me to fix the metal top piece. Although it's advertised as waterproof, with this top dent, I think the lamp could possibly get water inside. No matter -- as I don't plan to leave it out in the rain. I love this porch light, as it serves my particular needs perfectly.
