Awesome book, read it in a day!
Holy cow. This book. This lady.Man have I been in denial. This book helped me realize that I’ve been searching for short-term fulfillment through people. I’ve been trying to impress people with how I look, all (or lack of) my accomplishments, my house, my vehicles, etc. How tiring it has been. I’ve tried so many things to fill this hole in my soul.Yes, as a Christian, we are told that Jesus died for our sins, we are forgiven, we can now live a happy life. Yay, go us. But to actually believe it and change the way you live because of it is a huge challenge. This book had really great examples and conversations in it that were relatable enough that it finally hit home. I could see myself talking and saying these exact things and living these same experiences. Something clicked.Anyways, this turned into more of a journal entry for me. But just know that if you struggle with an emotionally-unavailable parent, family that only praises you when you succeed or reach a goal, or trying to fit in and gain love from peers to fill your soul, try this book out. It may strike a chord within you. It may help you recognize your faults, your opportunities and how you can change!Good luck on your journey.

Excellent reading
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Selfless. It brought to life my own feelings and insecurities of loving others and then feeling empty or rejected when I don't receive that same level of love in return. I've been focusing on the wrong thing. This book is an eye opener. I recommend it for anyone looking to form a beautiful relationship with God and who is working to break the cycle of emotional neediness.

Very engaging!
I have heard Megan speak at a conference and wanted to read her book. When I heard her speak I wanted to hear more . Her book did not fail! Fantastic! Fast read! Hard to put down ! She helps you to understand that the constant desire for love and satisfaction that we continually search for, cannot be filled through anyone or thing else other than God! Face out cups to be filled upward to God, not outward to be filled by others! Loved this book!

Good reminders for all no matter where you are in your faith
This book is awesome, especially if you're new to faith or reflecting on your faith and how you go about it. Sometimes we need to be reminded that the basis of christianity is so simple. God loves you, and he came down to earth because he knew we couldn't climb up to him. We are imperfect and he loves us anyway, and we have absolutely no need to carry around our guilt and shame, because it only inhibits us from spreading his love. This a short read but has SO much good in it. Highly reccomend.

I have heard Megan speak on several occasions and I love that this book makes you feel like you are ...
Wow! Seriously not a strong enough word to describe this book. I have heard Megan speak on several occasions and I love that this book makes you feel like you are right there listened to her all over again. BUT more than that, I love that through her words you see the heart of the Father and his immense love for us. It is a quick read and yet something I could read over and over again because of all the wisdom and great reminders. I would highly recommend this book. I can't wait to share it with my high school girls!

Great
I liked the pictures created with her words. I’ve been to Hume & could visualize that example. It’s a book for Christians of all levels & Pre Christians I think most people can identify with turning to people or things to fill their cup.
