Works well for my purpose
Purchased this for my Android TV because I am using a universal remote which lacks a microphone.I plugged this into the TVs USB. It worked immediately, and also seems to pick up my voice very well, even with aircon on and the mic being behind my TV a couple meters from me.Nothing had to be installed. There was no setup. It seems the TV simply immediately knew what to do with it when I put it into the USB port.

Good for the money
I'm not sure how this little microphone compares to some of the more upscale ones, but I'll list my likes and dislikes of it anyway.Good things:-Sound quality is very clear and crisp-Looks nice-Adjustable neck is usefulBad things:- Cable is sufficient length for me, but might be too short if you need to move it around a lot.- While it drains out most of the background noise, it had a tendency to pick up my fan very well, not sure if this is a USB thing or if my fan is extremely loud.Overall I am very happy for what I payed and the difference in sound quality between this microphone and my built in one is ridiculous, would be 5 stars if it didn't pick up the fan noise so well.

Dead on arrival, poor product at best.
Avoid this product, they charge £11.99 for a product that I expect to find in a poundstore for £1, something that you expect to use once before it dies out on you.Product was dead on arrival, does not plug and play as it was suppose to. After trying it a few times it detected something but said USB device failed to install correctly.Overall product looks cheap and flimsy, I think the problem is in the usb stick that connects onto the PC as something is rattling inside it and it feels very cheap.USB cable is so thin that any accidental yanking in the future will snap it like a piece of string, the anti slip mat under the mic doesn't really stop it from moving (my cheap mousemat does a better job).Product comes in a cheap brown box that looks similar to amazon delivery boxes, with nothing but mic and tiny bit of bubble wrap inside, no instructions, no packaging, poor impression.Reading reviews on UK and USA amazon it seems that it's common for this device to not get detected by the computer or die out after short usage. At this point I don't even want a replacement, Kinobo looks like you got a lot of stepping up to do.

Sensitive microphone but little control and no support (Updated)
Have asked questions regarding this product and seller appears to not be answering them. The microphone is really good in terms of its sensitivity to noise and can hear a light switch at the other side of a room quite clearly. However it has no instructions whatsoever (Even a basic little leaflet really helps), and since I can't get a response from the seller I have to assume there are no drivers it is compatible with, which means that it's basic default plug-and-use logic is not letting me fix it, so there is an extremely limited amount of settings to adjust on the microphone. It's a reasonable product, but just isn't supported at all.Update: So after having this for a relatively short period of time, the entire device has opted to stop working. It still connects to USB, the PC still detects it, but it will no longer capture anything but static. If there was any support or even some drivers, perhaps something could be done.

Sonic perfection in a futuristic package
We bought this microphone to replace a Trust Starzz which turned up DOA. Really glad we did as it is excellent quality and a bit quirky. The microphone is used by my son to record voiceovers while recording Playstation gameplay (using the excellent Elgato HD60) and it works perfectly well. in fact far better than I expected. The iMac picked up the mic instantly (go to Preferences Sound), it was that simple, with clear sound even if my son was a few metres from the mic. We did have a bit of a worry at first as the recordings were too quiet but that was our fault, we just had to turn up the input in the settings.Overall a really great purchase which we are totally happy with. Highly recommended.

Greatest Mic Ever! Better Than My £120 Headset!
This mic is currently being used as my YouTube mic. It's excellent as far as audio and build quality goes but one thing is that it picks up a lot of ambient noise in the room although this is easily fixable with Audacity or really, any other audio editing software. I would recommend getting a pop filter for this as p's and b's often sound odd although this happens with mics that even cost 100's of pounds. The recording quality is better than my £120 headset in almost every aspect. All in all, this product is great and i would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a good microphone.

It is a nice simple mic
It is a nice simple mic, it does the job and fits the price tag. It's unfortunate that the cable coming out of the USB broke, I don't know if this is a common problem, but otherwise it is a really good mic and picks up sound well.

Kinobo - "AKIRO" USB Microphone for Desktops :...
I do believe I have already written a review on this item. Still, don't miss out, this is one helluva microphone. I'm using it on win 8.1 and you couldn't ask for better. Omni directional, and you don't have to have right up to your mouth, 2 - 3 feet away will do just fine. Either in front or to the side, haven't tried from the rear, well... yes have mine to the side and slightly to the rear of me and the results are phenominal. Wonderful sensitivity, like a microphone should be. Buy this and you won't look back or regret. Have fun
