Could this hold a 20lb weight vest? I use it during workouts and looking for something to hang it on to let it dry out after.

Yeah, I would say my 3/4 wet suite weighs at least 20 pounds when it has water and the hanger holds in no problem.

It can. Depending on the form of the vest, the BCD version of this hanger might be better, as it has ends to hold the vest on. https://www.amazon.com/XS-Scuba-BC-Hanger-Yellow/dp/B000E6CTIG/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1547308466&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=bcd+hanger&psc=1&smid=A138GYT3Y3DZXX
