Endless possibilities!
The first major project I used my Cricut for was to create a "onesie station" for my baby shower. I was able to easily use the Cricut to cut out designs from HTV (heat transfer vinyl) to have them available for guests to use to decorate/personalize their very own onesies. MY GUESTS LOVED IT! I have a background in design - so I was able to upload my very own designs using Adobe programs to Design Space. I also decided to hand-draw some images, vectored them & then cut them out using the Cricut. These also came out better than expected!Honestly, the possibilities with the Cricut are ENDLESS! I've seen teachers use them to decorate classrooms, designers use them for orders, & crafters using them to make amazing cards, backdrops & other great party items. Cricut also rolls out new products regularly - so there are always new projects to try & new things to make!***Note that Cricut is using a subscription based library. This means you need to pay to use their services/ image library. I understand for some, this may be an issue. But if you are using this product constantly, the $10 a month fee to access their projects/images seems like a fair price. For your $10 a month, you do get the use of 1,000+ free images/text - which seem to be updated frequently for holidays & other events, access to easy to make projects - with the instructions (some have video instructions) on what you will need & how to complete the project, & access to their design program (Design Space) - which is really easy to navigate & learn. When first registering your machine, you do receive 1 month of Design Space free. So I would recommend registering your Cricut only AFTER you've spent some time on YouTube watching videos on how to use your machine. That way you can make the most of your free trial period. :) Less mistakes & wasted material, more time actually crafting!

Don’t think; just BUY IT!
I’ve been trying to get into the T-Shirt biz for some time now and I decided to stop putting it off and go for it. This....machine....is AMAZING! You can cut vinyl, you can cut paper, you can cut iron on, card stock, bonded fabric, poster board...if you can dream it; you can make it! Worried about it being complicated? Stop! It’s not. It’s so easy you’ll be making whatever your heart desires the day this gets delivered to you. I did my research on machines and I was sold on this one. I am impressed beyond words on how easy and versatile this machine is. Oh before I forget and this is important. It comes with a light grip cut board which is blue. If you plan on cutting vinyl or cardstock or anything of a medium hardness you’ll need to get the standard grip board which is green. Also the option of machine only doesn’t have any tools. I suggest you shop around for a tool kit that fits within your budget. One last thing...because this was my first mistake. When you start designing and you want to cut your design out; do not select print and cut. You’ll have a major head ache trying to figure out why the machine won’t recognize your cutting board. Select “save as a Cut image.” Again...if you’re thinking about starting a business or just want to do some crafts in your space time; DONT THINK JUST BUY THIS MACHINE! Thank me later.

Fantastic Machine but have patience!
This machine is wonderful and i have used it for so many things. The machine itself is very easy to get the hang of, I would say the most changeling part is learning to use the cricut design space and working with different vinyls but after every project it gets easier and easier. You WILL waste materials when fist starting out if you are new to this like i was so don't buy the most expensive materials at first. I would invest in some weeding tools which you can find for like $7-$10 here on amazon (you don't have to but cricut brand). and btw you DO NOT have to pay for design space, i was hesitant at first to buy this machine because i saw a lot of reviews that said you have to pay monthly for it but you absolutely DO NOT have to, there are tons of free fonts and images on the internet and even in design space.

Help!!! My husband has hijacked my Cricut!
Our neighbor has one of these and kept making us the coolest gifts! So we purchased one and had a pro right across the street to teach us how to use it. Quite honestly, we needed it, because it can be confusing and complicated. Great news though,....there are many YouTube videos online to help you! We also watched many videos and even find that we need to rewatch them (or call the neighbor) to remember how to do stuff.Fast forward almost a year and my husband, the big tough guy, has hijacked the Cricut! He has made every sticker he ever desired for the back of his pickup truck window and when he decides he doesn’t like one anymore,....he makes a different one. From guns to Sasquatch,.....he now has his dream stickers. Oh,....and if he puts one on crooked,...he doesn’t throw a 2 year old temper tantrum,....he just makes another! He also just decorated cool MANLY insulated mugs to give the guys at work with guns on some and Harley bar and shield on others to give as Christmas gifts. You can download just about any font you can imagine for free online,...there is an app called “anyfont” and a free font website called “dafont.” Again,.....you will definitely need a good neighbor or watch YouTube videos on how to do this,.....it’s several steps the first time.We use our wireless internet and iPads to make our projects. My husband and I each have our own Cricut account (accounts are free) so that we can be designing and creating at the same time. Here is the catch,...one must sign out of the Bluetooth before the other can sign in when they are ready to “make” their creation.
