SOOOO NICE! I love the texture and durability, it really makes the makeup not get eaten up by the sponge.

These Long-Lasting Tension Puffs by The Tool Lab are nice! The ones I got (labeled the matte, oval type) come in a set of two. Each puff is thin and soft. They bend really easily and almost have a bit of bounce to them, even though they are flat. The texture is neat; the puffs don't absorb much water, so they are easy to clean and don't waste as much makeup as most beauty sponges. When applying liquid foundation with one of these puffs, I notice that my foundation turns out smoother and more evenly distributed than when I apply it with other products. I even tried applying my foundation on one side of my face with this puff and on the other side with a standard makeup sponge, and the side that I used this puff on looked better and much more even.The one drawback to this product is that the strap you put your fingers in when you hold it is way too loose. If I use two fingers, as I normally would with this type of applicator, I can't apply any pressure to the puff at all, which makes it almost impossible to do my makeup. I have to either put three fingers under the strap or grip the other side of the puff with my thumb while I use this product. I find both of those methods to be uncomfortable. There isn't really a way to use this that is comfortable for my hand. I like that the strap is reversible, so it can be used on either side of the puff. However, it needs to be much tighter.Other than the issue with the strap, these puffs are great. They're a good value, too.

This was my first time using this sort of applicator pad. Throughout the years I’ve used beauty blender eggs, foam sponge triangles, artis oval brushes, and my fingers for foundation and concealer application. I’d never heard of Rubycell before this. I guess it’s some sort of foam but it almost feels like a chamois fabric material. It’s super soft and a little stretchy. It feels totally different than beauty blender foam, in that it’s much softer/smoother and has a forgiving stretch.This pad was easy to hold because it has a little strap on the back which stretches over your fingers nicely.This slaps on my liquid foundation really smooth and uniformly. I have dry skin right now from retinoids and I think it helped my foundation not get caught up on the dry bits. Brushes (and especially fingers) can cause foundation to go on a little streaky if not done right. It’s also hard to get into crevices by eyes in a totally smooth fashion with a brush. This pad bends to the contours of my face easily. I really like it and I’m a convert for now. This came with two pads, which is nice. I’d say this is a good value too (especially in comparison to the other applicators I mentioned). If you’re on the fence about trying this, trust me..go for it. You’ll like it.

I was definitely a skeptic when I tried this Rubycell applicator pad, as I have always used a beauty bender or a brush. The texture is the first thing that struck me. It's unlike anything I've used before. It's incredibly gentle on the skin. This pad effortlessly applies on my liquid foundation, creating a flawlessly smooth and uniform finish. Plus, the flexible design allowed me to seamlessly blend around my eyes and other tricky areas. You get two in a pack and the price is comparable to beauty blenders. The design is also brilliant. The little strap on the back makes it so easy to hold and control. It fits comfortably over my fingers and gives me a really secure grip.It's gentle, effective, and delivers a beautiful, streak-free finish. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a smoother, more comfortable foundation application experience.

This was just meh, in my experience. I guess I really prefer applying foundation with a makeup brush instead of this puff. I also tried using the puff with powder to set my foundation in specific areas but didn’t love that either. I liked the size of the puffs and the strap to hold it on my fingers, but that’s about it.

Pros:• Can use a variety of makeup application techniques with the puff, from pressing product into my skin, to swiping it, to blurring it.• Can use the puff to apply different types of makeup, from foundation to blush to cream eyeshadow.• The puff absorbs very little product, which allows me to use less makeup during each application session.• The puff provides even product coverage and easily allows me to control the concentration of product in the areas where I want it to apply it.• The puff is easy to clean with warm water and soap, or makeup remover – and quickly dries.Cons:• Upon removing a new puff from its packaging, I discovered that the finger strap was already partially detached from the puff. Because of this, I’ve had to be extra gentle in inserting my fingers into the strap, and applying pressure while using the puff, as I don’t want the strap to fully detach from the puff.

These are perfect for liquid foundation application. They apply evenly and the sponge, which isn't really a sponge, doesn't absorb your makeup, avoiding waste. They are also easy to clean and way more sanitary than regular sponges and brushes.
