Outstanding knife; incredible value
I am an abuser of steel. I admit it. It's my nature to be careless with CARING FOR THINGS (capitalized to differentiate from the fact that I am careful WITH things, especially those that can cause physical harm). I toss my knives in my truck. In my car. In my gear bag. In my backpack. I use them. I leave them in my pants pockets. They get washed. They get lost.I am CONSTANTLY looking for value knives. This one was meant to serve as a replacement for a Gerber Metolius, a fixed-blade sheath knife with a small, handy, utility size. It can skin, it can cut line. It can slice meat and vegetables. I kept it in my dry bag for my kayak trips (overnight and day trips). Its function was awesome, but I neglected it and it fell prey to damage.I didn't expect much for $10, but 9Cr18MoV steel has worked fine for me in the past (Great? Maybe. Usable? Absolutely. Even decently so.).Here are the pros and the short list of cons:Pros:- Sharp and ready to cut out of the box.- Feels decent in the hand. Not perfect (more later), but doggone good. The "thermoplastic rubber" on the handle is more "plasticky" than I expected, meaning harder and more slippery than tire rubber, but it's still far from slick. There is some texture that helps a tiny bit.- Excellent blade geometry. I am not seeking an argument about what grind is best, but this APPEARS TO MY UNTRAINED EYE to have a hollow grind with an indentation and jimping on the back of the blade that feels good. The index finger groove is placed properly and helps keep fingers away from the cutting surface. There is a slight taper toward the spine that's interesting.- Full tang to the butt of the handle.- Lanyard hole.- Comes with a sheath (yeah, that "not such a highlight is coming").Cons:- The sheath is functional. It appears to be made from a reinforced Cordura-type of nylon or polyester with some hard plastic coating on the inside that gives it firmness and protects the fabric. It's fine to keep the knife from cutting you, but I'll be looking for a Kydex replacement. Assuming a lack of aftermarket sheaths, I may send it off to a sheath maker or make a Kydex sheath myself. This sheath is the real negative of an otherwise EXCELLENT product.- It's obvious the grind, the steel and the thermoplastic rubber were designed to cut costs. That said, it feels pretty refined for a budget blade. Still worth noting that there are some shortcuts.- The only other slight negative is, to me, that the tang of the blade extends a tiny bit past the scales and the edge of the tang is noticeable. It's still fairly comfortable, but I can see hand fatigue setting in (perhaps blisters) with hard, heavy use.My verdict is that I am THRILLED with this pickup for $10. Assuming I put another $20 into a sheath, I'd still view it as a bargain. No, the steel isn't great, but as a lot of guys say, it's not the steel, it's the heat treat. And after a night and a morning of use, this one passes muster with me. It's going in my truck, which means I want it near me as much of the time as possible. I'd happily use as a backup skinner, or a bushcrafting knife in a pinch. I expect it to excel in daily tasks.

Solid little blade~
Love it. Fits well in hand. I attached a lanyard to give a little more grip room by the pinkie. It has a great design, feels small but solid.Would be a good candidate to make custom handles for. Or turn it into a spear...People slamming this knife for the "inadequate" sheath are kinda spoiled. lolIt works fine. If you don't like it, then go on youtube and make one of pvc, or buy a CRKT for 3 times the price. Solid little blade, and at $11, a very reasonable price.

Nice knife- clunky sheath
I'm really surprised at how much I like this knife. It fits the hand really well. I have medium to large hands and you get a nice full grip on it, but it's still a small handy knife. Very sharp out of the box with a good even grind. No tool marks or other QC issues. Good value for a usable working blade. The one down side is the sheath. It's a padded nylon belt sheath that is way too bulky for a nice light slim knife like this. I wish they came with a slim minimalist kydex type sheath. This would make a great neck knife, but the sheath can't be worn that way. The belt strap on the sheath is thin and not attached too strongly. It wouldn't last too long.

Very good value
This is a nice little knife. Big enough to be useful, but not bulky. It is on the small side, but a good value for the money. Sturdy enough for bigger jobs, but designed perfect for fine work. The blade is thick enough that you won't worry about bending, but shouldn't be used as a pry tool or screwdriver. Very nice fixed blade with a low profile.

Very satisfied
I think this little knife is a great value. It's razor sharp holds a good edge , nice looking and is perfectly useable right out of the box. Sheath is simple and will work but nothing else. I bought this to modify as in going to make wooden scales for it and a leather sheath. Blade it self is perfect though so it won't get any changes. Going to be a fun quick little project for a day I actually have some time for myself. All and all definitely a great little knife. Btw there is knives out there two and three + times as much money that don't work as good or look as good as this one!

More of a "toy" or novelty item
Smaller than I thought. The scabbard looks a little childish; more nursery than weapons room. Don't see me getting a lot of utility out of this..perhaps useful for someone with a different use in mind.

Great little inexpensive fixed blade for home/garden/farm use.
Great inexpensive knife to keep in the vehicle or workshop or to carry while gardening or doing yardwork. It isn't made of the latest, greatest steel but is certainly of sufficient quality for any tasks a small knife will typically be used for. You will have to sharpen it more often than a super steel, but it is much easier to sharpen and a quick touch up now and then will keep it plenty sharp enough for cutting rope, string, cardboard, opening fertilizer/seed/feed bags, or even cutting damaged garden or auto hoses.

Schrade Adder Knife. Read this first:
🐍 The Schrade Adder is an inexpensive fixed blade knife made from AUS 10 stainless steel. It is a continuous piece of metal with a full tang and 2.9 in. cutting edge that is sharp out of the box. There is some jimping on the spine of the blade which is a bit rough but not too uncomfortable. The handle is small and (according to the manufacturer) made out of rubber. In my opinion it is a plastic material that might have some grippy feel to it but it's not rubber like a rubberband or tire. Unfortunately, the handle is the downfall (but not a deal breaker) of the knife as it does not completely cover the tang, which has a rough edge, and is very intrusive to my hand. The edge needs to be smoothed out or maybe wrapped with tape. The sheath is very tight and made from thin (lightweight) plastic with a metal clip, 6 holes for attachment options and comes with a lanyard. I like the knife and will keep it, but mostly because of the price point and anticipated low usage as a backup.

Gratamente sorprendido
