this light was larger and heavier than what I wanted. I returned it. Quality seem ok.

It quit after one use!!
This thing only worked once or twice, and even then it would flicker. Then it stopped working entirely. What really pisses me off, is that the manufacturer charged me five dollars to even process a warranty claim, and on top of that I have to pay shipping to send the item back! For a $69 item, this is ridiculous. Not at all happy!

No one made flashlights like this when I was a kid, as best I can recall
This solid, heavy-duty, water resistant tactical flashlight has a body made from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. It uses two standard AA 1.5V alkaline batteries to power the LED bulb with a very white light. Don't be pointing this thing at someone's eyes, as it isn't something to play around with. The belt clip can be removed, which is exactly what I did when I purchased the flashlight. It feels great when gripped, as that area of the flashlight is textured. The pushbutton is located at the rear of the flashlight. Depress the pushbutton half-way for momentary high light output. Release and quickly depress the pushbutton half-way down again for momentary low light output. Single-click the pushbutton all the way down for continuous high light output, or quickly triple-click the pushbutton all the way down for low light output. The flashlight can put out a high-powered spot beam of light by sliding the front of the flashlight forward, or put out a wide flood of light by sliding the front of the flashlight backwards. Light output is 159 lumens at maximum level, or 23 lumens at minimum level. The flashlight extends from 6.5" to a maximum of 7.0" in length depending upon whether you are using wide flood or spot beam mode.

Tough and reliable. I do wish Pelican would make smaller and brighter products however.

What happened to Pelican?
If I had paid full price for this I'd be very mad with it. As it is, I've grown to assume that the light won't work and use it only when not critical, not really a thing you expect to think for Pelican, and big aluminum flashlights generally. It's a bit fussy with multiple modes and a not great switch, a bit bigger than it has to be for the features and output, and some shoddy ergonomics like where the clip is placed. But mostly it is hideously unreliable. If you drop it: it might just stop working. And then later, maybe it'll work again. Once, I thought it was dead but (despite having plenty of charge) it resurrected itself after a charge cycle. So... I guess it has bad electronics that get confused easily?Today is really the final straw though that makes it 1 star reliable: it fell apart. Apparently, some of the bits are literally glued together plastics, and the aluminum outside is a lie.I have a number of Pelican cases, that I use for very rough duty. Until their lights get up to the same standard they need to exit the market. This is wildly unacceptable behavior.

2014 technology!
I bought this light when the seller BOTACH was the seller and I paid $24. I bought it for an around the property throw away light. It's big and heavy, it's definitely 300 lumens or so. The problem is the run time they don't state it anywhere and information but I find to be about an hour and 10 minutes. Then it takes a few hours to charge but the batteries are cheap enough and it's dual fuel. Overall for $24 this was a great disposable flashlight but it's 2014 technology and extremely outdated.

Big disappointment
A big disappointment. I took it out of the box and it worked intermittently. The box looks like it was returned before, why would I be sent a defective flashlight on purpose. I'm sending it back

Great flashlight, very durable
Great flashlight, very durable, although it does eat batteries when on high mode all the time. Would be nice if there was a way to set the default brightness using a single click. Having to triple click to enter low mode is cumbersome so I rarely use it.
