I bought this to replace a center lift model that had broken. I did not like the center lift because it held the cover up too high when you were in the hot tub. This installed easily and is easy to slide the cover on and lower it down. I screwed the top into the hot tub to make it more secure. Definitely worth buying. I've added pipe insulation to the bars to better secure the cover.

Product was easy to assemble. Install only required lifting edge of hot tub and sliding under. So far, hydraulics work well to assist lifting cover. The part that holds the cover was quite a bit wider than my cover so my cover leaned way out, which would eventually wear out and break the arms. To adjust for this, I put pieces of a pool noodle over the pipes so it makes the cover lean less. Overall, better than I expected. Mine is in a covered patio, not sure about rust if it was outside all the time.

Easy to put together, but you will have extra hardware. I've used it about 10 times and we live in a cold climate and it functions well. I have paid more for one that basically ripped the walls off the hot tub. So I'm happy with this.

This may work for a small hot tub but any larger hot tub this thing is too flimsy.It didn’t, then the main bars at the base bent. The metal pole could no longer support the weight, and the wobbly arm was almost on the verge of collapsing.

I have had multiple surgeries lately and I can use this one handed!! So happy with this purchase

This spa cover lift is handy for holding the top and not worrying about where to put it down. My hot tub is an inflatable Saluspa Malibu which is probably not the type of hot tub that this was designed for. It lacks a firm wall and base to sandwich the base of the lift and thus it is a little unstable. Using a construction adhesive on the metal base to affix it to the concrete patio helps stabilize it. The hydraulic mechanism is a bit stiff for the air filled cover, but after some practice it works pretty nicely. It certainly helps with keeping the cover close by and not have to worry about my dogs accidentally puncturing the air bladder.
