The Best Music Stand Light Without a Doubt
Unquestionably, the best and brightest music stand light I have ever used (electric or battery) by a long shot! At 71, with a retinal problem in one eye and a fairly bad cataract in the other, I need additional lighting to ordinary room or auditorium lighting to be able to the read music I am playing. I have tried most of what's out there and have found this to be the brightest white lighting (i.e., best contrast) that covers and a full two pages of music (from top to bottom) in existence today. The LED lighting is much brighter and clearer than any incandescent bulb music stand light and makes the reading of even small notations on the a page possible with ease. And, there is no heat! Without this light, my instrumental playing days would be ended. Only "drawback" is that the way it is constructed (i.e., solid back to shield light from audience) means that there can be some interference with seeing the conductor at times if you need to have your music stand set high for the instrument you play. Nevertheless, I feel so strongly positive about the quality and utility of this light that I would give it even higher than a five (5) star rating if that were possible. If only this light had a battery operated option so it could be used in concerts where electrical outlets are not generally available, it would be absolutely perfect in my opinion. For this purpose, I have found the Might Bright Orchestra light (which I also purchased through Amazon as they had the best pricing) to be the best. It's not quite as bright as this light, and the LED lights give off a bluish hue, but it works quite well and can be operated on batteries when an electrical outlet is not available. I found Amazon pricing to be the best I could find for this light and regular free shipping took only 3 days from the time I ordered. In summary, I am very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing good lighting for music for whatever reason (as long as you have an electrical outlet available). Note: On Oct. 27, 2012 I received notice from Aria they now have a similar but even brighter light (called BRIO) with a battery pack which makes this light useable in most any musical situation. Looks interesting but is listed at about $170.00. Depending on a person's need, it might be worth taking a look at.

Poor Design of Power Cord
For $75, I got 3 years of use from this stand light. The power cord began to fray and finally broke at the point where the cord is enclosed by a plastic housing at the back of the light frame. Perhaps my problem is unique, but maybe the issue is poor design. The on/off switch is located on the power cord, 27 inches below the plastic housing, and the extension cord socket is located about 6 inches below the switch. So the switch and the extension connection are hanging in mid-air from the music stand, and may have supplied enough weight to lead to the fraying of the cord at the housing. A longer power cord that allowed the switch and the connection to lay on the floor would have reduced the stress on the power cord at the top of the music stand. I paid too much for a light that lasted only 3 years.

By far the best music light available…
I’ve had my Aria LED Music Stand light for a year now and it’s been flawless. Much brighter and easier on the eyes. Important because it’s much less eye strain, especially if you practice for two to three hours a day. It will definitely help improve your performance either in the studio or night club. My Aria light is 120Vac powered so I don’t have to mess with batteries charging, or worry about losing a charge. Aria also offers a light dimmer that works with it. It’s robust construction, good quality and with the LEDs, you don’t have to worry about replacing light bulbs. It doesn’t get hot either. It’s not adjustable but if your sheet music is standard height it shouldn’t be an issue. It clamps on to the top of the stand securely and doesn’t wobble, vibrate or fall off. At $90.00, expensive but well worth it…

Only Lasted 3.5 years - it's dead.
I purchased this product Aria Diva on 1/15/15 and only used it in my studio. It stopped working July 2019. I thought it was the cord so I purchased a new cord. It's dead. Doesn't turn on at all. That's a good chunk of change to spend on something with such a short life span. Very disappointed. Shortly after purchasing this one with the AC adaptor (not rechargeable one) I purchased the battery/rechargeable one for travel and so far it's still working. I sure hope it lasts. I had planned on buying more but am going to wait to see how long the Aria Forte will last

Nice even light.
This is a big improvement over the old incandescent stand lights that us oldsters used forever in the opera pit. I don't play in the opera orchestra any longer and the permanent ringing in my ears is the best reminder of those days, but I still play professionally and will bring this light with me. I bought it in particular to light my piano desk, which, now that my eyes are failing, needed better light than an incandescent lamp. The clips do not open wide enough for the wooden piano desk so I used a piece of stiff cardboard. This has it's advantages as I fitted one high enough to clear any of my music. The light is very even and bright enough to easily see to the bottom of the page, and lights both sides of an open piece of music very adequately. I understand that their newer model is brighter but this one is bright enough for my aging eyes. My only complaint is that the rotary on/off switch causes the light to flicker a bit unless it's set perfectly in the middle of the on position. It's no big deal and if the unit lasts a reasonable length of time, it's worth the relatively high price, compared to the old stand lights, to be able to see the music well.
