Lovely blind easy to put up and does it's job perfectly, our kitchen faces the sun for all afternoon and as in flat with cats I can't open the window too wide so this is keeping the kitchen so much cooler.

The curtain itself is fantastic, my problem is in the accessoriesThese are apparently frail and appear to do a poor jobFor this reason, I don't feel comfortable recommending this product, taking into account that the most fragile part of the product determines its lifespan.

I've got a Gro Anywhere version of this idea from some years back, it's saved a few trips away. It's more substantial and features Velcro for adjustment and permanently attached suction cups, which are on their way out, which is why i wanted to try this as a replacement.It's a comprehensive kit and you get a LOT in the box. It will do a lot of windows in terms of the fabric size. However the fabric whilst it WILL work and block out light is a relatively thin aluminumized plastic sheet.There are two methods of attachment, one is adhesive Velcro pads. Whilst this will allow custom placement which is good, flexible plastic and adhesive pads are not the greatest for longevity. You the attach the Velcro to the suction cups, which look decent. It Will certainly work and may be reasonable for re-use on another window, but I'm not convincedThe other is magnetic. Adhesive pads attach the magnetic part to the window frame, you then use the metal part (Stainless???) to sit on top of the fabric. This would be pretty quick to then take down and put back up as some form of semi-permanent solution - For a guest bedroom or something at home, I can see this working well.

The blind arrives well-equipped with everything needed for installation, including a measuring tape (nice touch), suction velcro pads, and magnetic strips. For my installation, I opted for the magnetic strips as I wanted the suction cups as part of my travel kit.It was easy to cut the blind to size. The metal clips adhere to the window frame securely, and the magnets are strong enough to hold the blind in place while also being easily removable. The blind itself is surprisingly thin, but it is very effective, with one side featuring a black finish and the other side offering a reflective finish..Overall, the set works as expected and offers excellent value for money, with plenty of blackout material left over for when I travel.I may buy some magnetic strips to do a second room which gets bright bright morning sun.I included a photo to show how well it blocked the morning sun 😎

I was on the lookout for a solution to provide a complete black out and come across this magnetic black out blind.The blind arrives well presented with everything you need to get it fitted, including a measuring tape, suction velcro pads and magnetic strips. For my installation i used the magnetic strips as i wanted the black out blind accessible. The Metal clips adhere to the wall very well and the magnets are strong enough that they fix very easily but also can be removed. The blind itself is very thin so i was sceptical but it's very effective, on one side you have a black finish and on the other side a reflective finish.The blind works very well and by cutting it oversized slightly, it becomes very effective. as part of my installation i installed magnets midway to allow the blind to be folding up if required. Overall this set works as expected and is excellent value for money as we have plenty of blackout material left over.

This is essentially a large thin sheet of blackout material, which you cut to size and attach yourself with either the included suction cups or the included magnet strips. I needed it for a tiny (20x25in) window in the bedroom in a deep recess that has proved impossible to get a blind or curtains for. I chose to attach it to the frame using magnets, and it was super easy to put up: just add the sticky-back iron strips around the window frame, cut the fabric, and use the magnets to pin it in place. Then in the morning, you take the magnets off and fold the fabric away, and in the evening, magnet it back up.Easy, for sure, and the blackout capability is phenomenal, but it's not the world's most attractive solution. You need to have a bit of an overhang on the fabric to make sure the light doesn't peep in around the edges, so it does look slightly like you've taped a bin bag up, and the magnetic strips themselves are black, so stick out visibly on a white window frame. It's worth it, though, to be able to sleep in past sunrise.After dealing with my tiny window, there is still tons of fabric left as this is a generous 3m x almost 1.5m, so I'm going to keep the remainder, and the suction cups, on hand for travelling with my toddler.
