Powerful outdoor dirty water pump.
I bought this pump 4 years earlier it has now packed in after years of heavy use, It powerfully pumps out gallons of dirty water within minutes. I use it to pump excess water from the bottom of my garden , it keeps the bottom of my garden dry. I would highly recommend this pump but due to are wet winters and summers it does get a lot of hammer I was very happy to get 4 years out of it for around 113 pounds very good value for the money I paid.

Great Pump - high throughput, quality build, great price
We bought this submersible pump to use to pump water from the clean side of our Septic tank. It says that it pumps at 258 litres / minute, I was skeptical, but it really does! The float switch works perfectly and the pump has worked without fault for the last 8 weeks. No blocking, no overheating and only only for a short period of time each time as it pumps so quickly. The only small issue I found, is that you may need a Jubilee clip to fix the outlet hose on to the pump outlet. Just to ensure that the pressure of the pump doesn't blow the pipe off! it really is that strong! I'm very impressed. All in all a great pump for the money.

Cannot be used in shallow water
This pump is designed for immersion use only. It will only run when the float commands it to, and so (unless you're prepared to risk the pump burning out), you can only use it when it is fully submerged. So it's no good for simple, low level flooding, but would be fine immersed in a pond or sump.It works for me, and I'm very happy with it.

Died when most needed during heavy rain...
The whole point about a sump pump is that you have to be able to rely on it to do "what it says on the tin", i.e. reliably empty a sump. I purchased this pump in May '21. It's now April '23 and during heavy rain in the middle of the night, it decided to trip the RCD. Luckily, I found out early the next day when there was "only" two inches of water in the cellar... the RCD will not reset with that pump connected... Luckily we had another (smaller) pump for our well, and so managed to get the cellar cleared (the other pump works fine with no RCD trips)... but the bottom line is that this was not a cheap pump and it failed when needed most. It would have been disastrous if we'd been on holiday.Spoke to Clarke's Customer Service & Technical Support, both of whom were useless and said that as it's out of warranty there are no realistic options for repair. I note that several others reviews have had the same issue.Expensive tat. Avoid.

Thin stainless housing, failed after light usage
Stainless housing is thin, worn throw after short usage due to small stones in dirty water. Good pump until started tripping the circuit breaker after 2 yrs of occasional light use. Was expecting more from this unit. Disappointed.

Great pump
Great pump for cleaning my pond. Had about 6" of thick sludge ar the bottom which had built up over the years to remove. Pump worked brilliantly, had to pump it 20 mtrs up the garden to the main sewer which it done with ease as it was up a 2 mtr incline

Not powerful for multiple sprinkler system
Whilst it looks good and sounds powerful, it's only good for short rangr (approx 25m). Make sure you find out about the Max Head range. I needed 40m. But nobody helps out with this info. And I tried 3 and ended up buying from a specialist with 45m Max Head range.
