One of the most recognisable and desirable classic furniture designs of all time, the Eames Lounge Chair is as beautiful as it is comfortable. Reputedly designed as a birthday present for the director Billy Wilder, the 1956 Lounge chair was the Eames' first design for the luxury market. This supremely comfortable chair has sumptuously cushioned leather seat pads and a wood-veneered plywood shell on aluminium supports and a cast aluminium base. Shock mounts allow the backrest and headrest to flex slightly in use. The chair has been in constant production since its creation.

A most beautiful chair
Had a slight panic when the delivery date over ran, but this was sorted by the company....just waiting for the right van route into the North East I think. Anyway, a well packaged chair arrived with polite delivery people, it wouldn't quite fit through my cottage door, so had a quick dismantle to get the components indoors!I have had a thing for this type of chair for maybe 50 years, so a pretty significant investment for a pensioner. No regrets...it is beautifully made, easy to assemble and I am completely delighted with it. Quite low slung, fairly firm to sit in and instantly comfortable.....I could go on! Mostly it's just a perfect thing......so...over to you!

Well made, comes fully assembled and looks great.
The chair arrived today. It comes well packed in a large carton that needed to be unpacked to get through the front door.Good news was that despite the listing notes, the chair was already fully assembled.Chair looks great and is extremely comfortable and seems to be well made. So far I am extremely pleased with my purchase.FYI The one I purchased was from Style Interiors, which seems not to be available right now, I assume the listed chair is the same, though it is £200 more.......

Great value for money
Had this chair delivered to Portugal , on time and fully assembled unlike several others I had read about from other suppliers. I had reservations about the quality of the leather for the price but I couldn’t be happier It looks beautiful and is so comfortable.

Chair is great. Some confusion with the supplier but a satisfactory outcome was reached & I am very happy with the product and service.

Not the product as advertised
Advertised as real Italian Leather, arrived and did not look like that in the advertisement, no leather smell as you would expect. Certificate in the box details India as country of origin. the woodwork however was good.If only it had been as advertised.
