Faster than the stovetop kettle
My wife and I use it every day. It makes boiling hot water very fast. It also makes lesser-hot water which is better for herb teas.

Didn't work out of the box
This is the second Cuisinart kettle I've had to return. The first one did not beep when the water was ready. This one simply goes to ERR and does not heat the water at all. I followed the instructions carefully. ERR supposedly means there is not enough water in the kettle, but I tried to heat a full Liter (more than half the kettle) and there is no heat at all, just an error message. As far as Cuisinart kettles go, it's two strikes and you're out. Time to try a different brand.

Good quality
After a vacation in Paris, I realized I needed an electric kennel. The ones in France will water in about a minute. This one takes about four minutes but it does bring it to a full boil and it will keep it warm for you in case you need that feature. I really like this a lot. The quality of the construction is excellent. I am not disappointed.
