Erfurt Insulating Lining Paper Graphite (332276)

Amazing product but you have to hang it exactly as instructed. And don't skimp on the paste.Our house was built in 1910 so we used it on our outside solid walls and have noticed an instant difference in how cosy the room now is. It heats upmore quickly and has definitely reduced our energy use.

Was dubious about using this BUT it's on and is holding up.Our house is very old, no cavity insulation in the walls. We decided to give this a go as the outer walls in one bedroom were freezing. It works! We cannot feel the cold through it like we used to be able to.The liner itself isn't the easiest to put up so be prepared for the challenge. We used Wallrock thermal liner paste to apply the liner (great stuff) you won't be able to use normal wallpaper paste. My husband used decorators chalk to fill in gaps and seal it. (In the picture you can see the gaps before chalking.)On top of that we then applied a 1400 grade lining paper before painting.So far so good! The lining paper made the walls look amazing, as if they'd be replastered (our walls are terrible) we can feel the difference in the bedroom as well, it holds warmth!Overall, impressed and I would use again.** Edit 05/12/2021It's still on the wall, it's still doing its job (8months after decorating) and that bedroom has never felt warmer!** Edit 22/01/2025It's still holding up well and the room still holds the heat.

Bought two rolls to cover the top half of an exterior wall and around a door, it's been a cold spot forever.It's the first time I've ever used a "paste the wall" rather than the wallpaper product, it's so much easier! Less mess and it feels like you're doing crafts rather than wallpapering.The flatter the wall surface the better but it does hide mildly irregular surfaces well. I used the recommended adhesive which wasn't cheap, but it's premixed and went right on the wall with a brush. It sticks very well, use something cylindrical to press it to the wall and you'll be impressed with the results.Cutting it to size is a bit iffy, the polystyrene breaks up a little on the edges. But it's easy to remove bits with fingers.It makes a real difference to the feel of the wall, right away you feel the heat from your hand being reflected. Way better than just wallpaper. It looks so good I'm just going to paint it rather than wallpaper over it.The rolls were sent in a box which kept them undamaged, I'm definitely going to by more of this :-)

I have to say I can’t really understand the negative reviews this product has received. I ordered this to put up on the inside of some gable walls on a very old property with no cavity insulation or option of cavity insulation. I used the recommended adhesive which does indeed cover four rolls. I put the product up in horizontal strips and filled any gaps before placing lining paper over. The difference in touch is truly remarkable. My walls used to be so, so cold and would have droplets of condensation in the winter. These walls now are actually warmer than internal walls in other rooms. Very happy with this product and have more in my basket right now!

This is an excellent internal insulation product however, a number of reviews mention the loss of the last half metre because of the tight roll - which by the way can be reduced by using a hairdryer to warm it as you flatten it.My main complaint is that it is delivered in a plastic postage bag which affords no protection so each roll has serious damage that has to be cut off - so you lose another unusable metre from the roll. Other wall coverings have arrived via Amazon packed in cardboard boxes with no damage so this delivery was a bit of a shock.

After reading the reviews here and else where I was swung by the review by RUBES8 in 2021 to buy this paper. I was sceptical but now after fitting it and letting it set for well over 48hrs the small bedroom is now warm. I used, as recommended by reviewers of the product, the "Wallrock Thermal Adhesive" and painted it on with a brush and used quite a lot of it to ensure it stuck correct, which it did. It is quite easy to work with but patience is required and marking the walls with the width of the paper helped. I then used Decorators Chalk to fill in the seams before painting.

I ordered this to go below a bay window while decorating a room. Didn't matter what I tried this paper eventually worked its way off the wall as the adhesive dried. You also have to handle it very carefully to avoid cracking of the backing which would show in the final finish. I spent about 2 weeks on this small area. It was not good waking in the mornings to find the paper peeling. I tried the strongest glues too.

Works well once it’s up. Needs great care as it’s easy to fracture if it’s allowed to bend against its natural curve. Don’t skimp on the adhesive!
