Q: Is the netting already strung to the posts in the box, or do you have to attach it?

Once you clamp the backstop to the middle top of the net, the netting goes on very quickly. You will need some sand or hand weights to weigh down the netting to the right and left side of the net. It takes only a few minutes to install and take down.

Q: Will it work with a 54 inch net?

Not out of the box. It is designed for a regulation net so the opening is designed for 72". You would have to create and add extra netting to fill in the 9" gaps on either side.

Works great

We have not used the sand bags. We just let the net hang. It catches the pucks and drops them nicely so we dont have any bouncing back at us. Makes puck collecting easy. The poles can install easily so setup is quick. Very happy.
