Outstanding Design and Craftsmanship
Tops Knives does it again! The design and craftsmanship of the CUT 4.0 are outstanding. Olympic Outdoorsman had a great price on this knife through Amazon so I ordered one. My intent was to have an EDC blade that was versatile for defense or utility, and that was easy to carry, deploy, and use. The Tops CUT 4.0 delivers. The ergonomics are excellent for my hands. I wear large gloves but do not have long fingers, and this handle fits well in forward or reverse grip. The edge was hair shaving sharp, the point needle sharp, and the finish was evenly applied and durable. The sheath holds the knife securely in place and offers a variety of carry options. I like horizontal/scout carry but also a vertical belt carry at times. By adjusting the straps on the sheath, each of these carry methods can be accommodated. As sharp as the edge and tip are, it stays sharp quite awhile which I credit to the excellent heat treatment. So, is there any room for improvements? Certainly, but that is a matter of preference and not necessity. The two biggest improvements would be optional, a River Wash finish for those who prefer the look of steel, and a stainless steel offering for those who work in wet or humid climates. Also, people with very large hands may consider the handle to be cramped, but that is a matter of individual preference. This is an excellent knife in all respects and I am confident that almost everyone who owns and uses one will be very satisfied.

It’s alright, I love it but it has serious drawbacks
Pros: Overall a great knife. I carry this blade every single day and have used it for just about everything. Easily resharpened. Fits a variety of tasks and is suited well to most applications.Cons: the first task I put this knife to was pumpkin carving, believe it or not portions of the edge rolled on a PUMPKIN. The knife dulls if you look at it wrong. I used it to process several boneless roast chunks into smaller pieces and the edge rolled and dulled with minimal light use. I’m not sure if it’s just 1095, or if tops is turning this model out on the soft side of heat treat. Either way, a few passes on my diamond stone or my water stone and a bit of stropping and it’ll shave hair again.Overall it’s great. However, if I were to be in the field for an extended period of time or on a job that required a lot of cutting tasks I would absolutely not take this blade unless I had my stone with me. Who wants to carry around a stone? For EDC and light use it’s fantastic. For self defense as a last ditch back up it’s PERFECT. Just don’t expect a hardcore working blade out of this one if edge retention is important to you or if you don’t have the ability or tools to service it regularly.

Very versatile knife
To start, I was a bit surprised at the size of this knife in person. The specifications show edge length, overall blade length and overall length, but furthest length between the blade's edge and spine spanned 1.5". That's on par with my Ka-Bar. The blade is much bigger than the picture suggests, which was a pleasant surprise. Its thickness and feel in the hand is great--very sturdy. I doubt it would break unless subjected to extreme abuse with the intention to break the knife. It comes sharp from the factory, but a touch up with my Arkansas stones brought it to a razor-edge. This is no exaggeration, it shaved hair off my arm. The carbon steel was quite easy to sharpen, too. The sheath is great. It's easily of similar quality to custom made Kydex sheaths of $30+ value and retains the knife very well. I've been carrying this knife in horizontal carry in the small of my back for a few months now--no issues. If you're looking for a heavy-abuse utility knife that doubles as a self-defense blade with its karambit features, this is the best bet in my opinion. Hopefully this review helps anyone looking at this knife.

Solid and sharp cutting tool!
Sturdy knife, great for EDC! Can not say enough about tops! Solid product. I saw a rewiew where some guy said he rolled edge carving a pumpkin, do not understand how on earth a competent person could do that, but hey i guess we all have our flaws, but not this knife it excels at every task i have asked of it and the edge is flawless, if you want a fixed blade EDC that has great cary ability look no further. This thing is solid.

Expensive, but it is a great knife.
I have the Fox Knives Dart XT and it is a great EDC folding karambit. It is lighter than this, but what my Dart isn't good at is bushcraft. This knife is better for camping. I believe if you are going to carry a tool of any kind that it should serve more than one purpose. The karambit ring on this knife makes it quick and easy to access for whatever you need it for. The drop point blade is good for everything else. This is a very practical knife that is now my go to outdoors knife.

It beats taking up real estate in my front pocket.
Great blade shape, secure grip angle design, the scout holster concept is perfect for this knife. Oh, and one other thing. As delivered, it’s SHARP, so brace yourself.

Good edc blade
Perfect size for a work blade. It's from TOPS so I've never had any issues with their products. I do a lot of custom knife work so mine is no longer stock from the picture I posted.
