Yes the strap is waterproof. I don't think the fit bit is designed to be waterproof though.

Yes I use a glass cleaning wipe or damp soap cloth then clean off with dry cloth

Q: Are these genuine fitbit straps

These are not made by Fitbit but I wouldn’t consider it a fake as it’s not saying it is made by them. Description is clear what it is. Mine is exactly like my one that came with the Fitbit, with the same finish & looks/feels same quality, except it doesn’t have ‘Fitbit’ engraved on plastic strip that holds rest of strap in place. Great item at a good price that works as well as original.
