Finally, a cat repellent that works.
These plastic mats work well. Strategically placed, I can finally keep our cats off our car. This was the second Amazon cat repelling mat I tried. The first one was similar but did not work as well and was a real pain to deploy. As others have mentioned, these mats are lightweight and can be easily moved by a light breeze. The individual mats can be weighted down with tape or any lightweight object and they stay in place overnight which is when our cats were climbing on our car. We would wake up to dirty paw prints all over our cars. That’s is no longer the case. An inexpensive fix to a frustrating problem.

They work perfectly!!
Not being a cat person, I have been completely annoyed by neighbor cats always climbing onto our outdoor furniture. They left hair, dirt, and even throw-up. We have tried many other tactics: Spray, mouse traps, pillows, etc. yet nothing worked. That is until we purchased these mats. They are EXCELLENT and work PERFECTLY! Since putting these on our furniture, not one cat has visited. Plus, they are very easy to move when we have friends over to visit. Highly recommend these!

GREAT PRODUCT, BUT MY CAT WAS TOO DETERMINED
I can see how many cats would be thwarted by these scat mats—unfortunately, my cat wasn't one of them. The mats did keep her at bay for a day. When she actually touched them she pulled her paw back and shook it like she'd touched a hot stove. I think these mats would work well for most cats. They were easy to place, and I liked the fact they could be cut (if needed). I think they'd hold up well. I was able to hang two of the mats on the front of a cupboard that my cat kept trying to open. The mats worked at keeping her from pawing at the cabinet. They did not defeat her from walking on the counter. She is a petite cat and she was able to place her paws between the pointed deterrents. Prior to purchasing, I'd read a lot reviews dismayed at the appearance and suggesting cats would suffer. I don't think that's the case because most cats would try once and then avoid. While they didn't work in our case, if you've got a cat you want to keep from an area, I think you should give them a try.

Nice and flat, works great, museum clay keeps them in place!
These are durable and good! If you worry about them moving, use museum clay. This keeps my cats off the counters and my dresser. I love that they’re pre-cut, and not a roll. These lay nice and flat and fit well. I secure them with some museum clay and we’re good! Being pre cut they’re so much easier to use also.

works (for my cats)
These have worked great for keeping my cats off of surfaces. They didn't cause any drama, stress, or pain for the cats; they quickly learned that the surfaces had become prickly and uncomfortable and routed around them. I haven't had to glue them down or anything. Smarter cats might figure out that they can push them off a surface, but mine are a bit on the dense side and would just rather not interact with them at all. They're big enough and plentiful enough that you can cover a lot of surface area with one 12-pack. They're also really easy to cut down: I have a piece on a small USB docking station that gets warm but isn't really safe for the cat to be laying on, and it does the trick there. For some reason, Amazon wants me to mention battery life in this review, so... yeah, these last forever on 0 batteries of whatever type you have lying around (or don't).

Worked for our two cats
Seems to work a treat. We got clear ones and have put them on the couch to deter our cats, that enjoy leaving their hairball "treats" all over the said couch. Seems to work really well as they now stay off the couch and with these being transparent, they are not as noticeable to be a complete eye-sore, especially with a patterned throw under them. They don' hurt cats as the spikes even though sharp, are not skin piercing sharp and the plastic is very thin and will buckle easily with heavier load, as proven by me stepping on these in the middle of the night. The only caveat is that they are very light, so the cats can potentially just bump them off, but you can interlock them together by placing the edge spikes of one sheet on top of the other, locking them with the spikes. With larger area sheets like that, it is harder for cats to move them off the couch.

Cats are too smart for this.
I purchased these to keep my cats off the counter. The issue with these is that the method to which you are expected to connect each pad together is very basic and does not hold without the included sticky dots. They include a fair amount of the sticky dots but over time needing to re apply or move the pads around I can see you running out in less than a year. when you connect the pads together there is enough of a gap between spikes for your cat to place their paws between them and move around freely in your guarded area. I ended up not being able to use them on my counter as they did not cover enough area. So I ended up using them to stop our cats from attacking our house plants by cutting the pads to create NO space between the spikes and applying around the base of the plant on the floor in such a way so the cats can not extend their bodies past the spikes. This worked, however the cats figured out quickly they could just slide the spikes out of their way. Using the sticky dots I stuck the pads to the ground which angered the little helions and they just decided to live with the pain and walk on them to go for the plants. I wish the pads worked but unfortunately they do not. I gave this a 3 star because I think these would work for younger cats but once they start getting around the 4-6 month range I don't think these will work any longer. Good product, bad cats.

Didn't work for my cat
These didn't really snap together as it looks like they should. I didn't want to adhere them to my nice wood floor so cat just pushes them aside. Good news if you step on them they break very easily so they would not hurt your cat at all if they step on it but not sure it would deter most cats

Did the trick…
I put these on top of a shag rug that my cat was doing his business on… He is smart enough to know that he should not walk on them and has returned to doing his business in the litter box. I will leave them out a while longer nonetheless because they are clear and don’t look horrific. I have a multi cat household, and they are all smart enough to not hurt themselves on the mats. Their curiosity was piqued, and they touched them with their paws, but did not make any attempt to walk on them. Me, on the other hand, I accidentally stepped on one, and I nearly did a 360 in the air… Lol.

Didn’t work / poor quality
My cat climbs right on these so it definitely wasn’t what I was looking for :( and the adhesive stickers are super weak so they moved easily and often

Works for cats!
Works for cats. I’ve used it on dining chairs, tables, etc. They don’t dare to jump. 😊

These are cat toys, not preventative mats...
We set these up to block the babies room from cats that want to yodel the baby awake. Normally, the cats cock-a-doodle-doo at 3am. But this night was different. At 12am, the cats were bulldozing these mats all around the house. I woke up to crazy eyes and perked whiskers shoving these mats everywhere! We tried for a week. Because they're clear, humans suffer the most when attempting to cross. They are invisible!! Nobody was spared. Nope. Returning these cat toys and human torture devices
