Pillsy - Pill Reminder | Smart Pill Bottle, Vitamin Alarm, Bluetooth w/Free Smartphone App

Great idea, poor execution. The device is supposed to remind you to take your meds. It does not. At the designated med time your phone chimes for about 3 seconds and the pill cap blinks if it's in close proximity to your phone. If you're not next to your phone, you'll miss the reminder and you're never reminded again. As a result, I've missed my meds 3-4 times in the past 2 weeks.Pros: It does record when you open the cap to take your meds (but has no history log).Cons: (1) Cap should light up at the designated med time and stay lit until you take your meds, but it does not - it blinks for a few seconds when meds are due and then goes off and never repeats (2) phone should offer repeat reminders every 15 minutes or so until meds taken, but you only get one at medication time, (3) An e-mail reminder would be a welcome addition, (4) does not record medication history log.I've since switched to a free app Medisafe which has an abundance of features, most importantly, you can enable repeat reminders!

Neat concept but it stopped working after a week. Need to see if it is just the battery.

After having had my thyroid removed, I knew I would have to take daily medication for the rest of my life. I had never done this before, so I was worried about missing doses. I got this product to try to avoid that, and I must say it works quite well. The bottle is well-made, and I feel like it will stand up to use for quite a few years. The only reason I took off one star is because you can only schedule doses for every day at the same time. For example, you cannot set a schedule to take medication on Monday Wednesday and Friday. You must schedule it for the entire week. Overall, this is minor and I definitely would recommend this to anyone who needs to take medications on a regular basis. I am young and do not need it, but it does have the option to notify a family or friend if a dose is missed. This would be fantastic if you had a parent or friend who perhaps had dementia and could not remember to take his or her dose.

I bought the Pillsy for my mother as she needs to be reminded to take her pills. She loves it thankfully, and I feel a lot better knowing she's getting reminders. This is a great product. It’s helpful to me every day. I have the iOS app and an iPhone X and it works really well. There are occasional problems syncing, but turning Bluetooth off and back on corrects this. I suspect that the difficulties, when they occur, are more a Bluetooth problem rather than a Pillsy problem. Many thanks, Pillsy people!

As soon as I opened it, the lid fell apart. I was able to fix it, but it still happens from time to time. It doesn't always alert me if I skip a dose, and alarm doesn't always go off if I forget that I've taken on. So a $40 "what's the point," if you will.

Love this product! I wish it wasn’t out of stock we need to order another. The chime at medication time is perfect and we love that it stores the history in the cap until you can sync with your Bluetooth!

Connected the first day but stopped working almost immediately. Doesn't sense when bottle is opened, which is the entire reason for the device.Edit: support was responsive and sent troubleshooting tops. The battery connector has bent loose and the video they sent to fix it worked.Second edit: Great concept, and great support team, but the device still needs work. It needs a reset button because it stops working every week or so. Pulling the battery out and putting it back in helps, but that gets tiresome.
