Painkiller Gold Edition - PC

This is an awesome game for me even now that I'm a 35 y.o guy i love this kind of games FPS Absolutely awesome. Tons and tons of monsters which become more difficult to kill as long as you get passing through the levels, very cool end Bosses, impressive arsenal of weapons (Roll the mouse wheel for quick & easy weapons switch and an item (Power Tarot Cards) reward if you are clever enough to find them. I have played FPG games since I was 14 and I still love them. This game will keep you busy for a few days I recommend this set of games to those of you who sometimes just want to let off a little steam that sort of thing. Keep in mind for the people who talk about the game being shipped without the 'CD KEY'. My copy (new) has the key right inside the box in very LARGE BLACK print on a piece of paper with the manual and the 6 cds of installation. As the game is old, originally the games of this type came on Cd's because the Dvd's were not on the market yet but If you copy all the Cds in your computer, then you can burn into a DVD of 4 GB. and run the game (install) with no problem, just create folders for every disk and at the moment of the installation will ask you for the destination of the next disk you locate on the folder wherever you wanna called (in this case I put every folder with the number of the disks which belongs so locate the file will be easier (disc 2, 3, 4, etc..) then copy the files of every disk in the folder with the name of the disk. easy... Now coming back to the Cd key for the people who bought the game and didn't have the Cd Key inside the game, that might be because if you buy it used, you risk the chance of a (seller) forgetting to include it. Buy it new, it's only about $10-$15 dollars and you get the expansion pack as well. Very recommended game in my opinion.

I got the Gold Edition of this game brand new in the mail and couldn't wait to start it up. I put in the first disc and everything was fine until it asked for the CD-Key. I searched the box over and over for it but it wasn't there. I thought I was going crazy. I have hundreds of games and NEVER had this problem before. I was sure that I'd lost it somehow.As it turns out, I went online to the Painkiller Gold forums and found out that I wasn't unique. Dreamcatcher didn't put CD-Keys into ANY of the gold edition games. You mean to tell me that they couldn't open just ONE box to make sure it is complete before they ship thousands of them out to stores everywhere?I am in the process of working with Dreamcatcher to get a CD-Key. If you buy this edition, you'll have the same problem. You'll have to scan copies of the discs, and email them along with your information to Dreamcatcher. Then, you'll have to wait who knows how long to get a response. Maybe if I ever get this game functioning, I'll come back and write another review.

its ok but if your a jumpy or religouse typ of person you wouldn't like it

This is a first person shooters game. I purchased the P C Gold edition. At this writing I am almost through the first game. The upside first. Great graphics. Good story. Awesome weapons. Has the quicksave feature which you will need.(trust me) Will keep you entertained for hours.Now the downside but remember this game is 5 years old. Make sure you have enough memory and ram. A good video (gaming) card is essential. I have the NVidia GE force 5200 and it worked fine.The movement can be frustratingly slow at times. It was designed that way and as you collect cards you will understand why. Checkpoints are good but in my opinion this one has too many.I have 1 major gripe. The first game I purchased had no CD key enclosed so I couldn't install the game. You can forget any type of support from the makers. They do not reply to e-mails and when I called their support number I was told to submit my request online (which of course they won't respond to) by an automated recording. I finally returned the game and purchased another which thankfully had the Key.Over all. A fun game. Get it. It was worth the initial aggravation.

I've been a FPS fan since Doom came out in 1993. After ID software brought us Quake (1996) which had the best graphics at the time. It was revolutionary but one thing that I enjoyed the most was the 'gothic' theme it had (I always loved this look and feel in video games [the mysterious, medieval look]). Then Blood came out a year after and a dream came true: the game was super gothic, decent graphics for the time but I had the most fun ever! in any video game.I had to wait almost a decade to find a similiar game that will make me feel like those glorious days. The time has come; Painkiller is the game.Not only the graphics are amazing, but it brings the sentimental feeling that's been missing for fans like me since the 90s. Painkiller does not dissapoint.Great game.

So I guess this is still a problem. While I read the one review about the missing cd-key, all reviews since then didn't mention this as a problem, so I decided to buy the game figuring the issue was resolved. My game included no piece of paper with a cd key. I looked up the problem online, and found out that in order to obtain a key, I would have to email dreamcatcher my contact info, and a picture of my painkiller cd. After borrowing a camera, I managed to email the required info. I have yet to receive a response after a week. Anyway, I advise anyone looking at this game to buy a different edition, or they risk gambling with obtaining a cd-key.

Painkiller Gold Edition was sent to me in perfect condition. It contained The original cardboard box, cd's, cd cardboard cover, comic foldout, and original instruction booklet. I am SO impressed with you guys! Thank you very much... loving what I received!
