I'm using this padding to wrap an old telephone pole that's way too close to my parking space. I park on a hill, so it gets especially icy and dangerous in the winter during the daily melt/freeze cycles. At first it was difficult to bend and wrap around the pole, but I left it rolled into a circle overnight and the next day it bent around the pole just fine. The velcro is way too short to reach around the pole, but the padding is big enough to protect from any impact. I used zip ties and it works fine.

This square pole padding is good for alot more than just basketball hoops. I got it for one of the poles supporting the Chinese restaurant upstairs from our jiu jitsu studio. The kids had torn the old one apart after too many years on the job. This pole cushion is thick padding with a thick and strong vinyl cover on it. It works well keeping little noggins (and big ones) from smashing into the hard poles.

We use it in the kids play area. I give it 4 stars only bc the Velcro strap is SO long and there’s nothing to synch the extra down with.

Not as long and bigger than expected. Doesn’t fit square pole perfectly.

Our oldest daughter is getting into basketball and wanted a hoop. So we got her a hoop. Of coarse, this protection is nice. She’s only six, so we want to make sure she is safe. This padding is thick and looks and feels very well made. It installs easy. We are happy, and they are safe playing ball. 🏀

I'm very happy with this padding despite using it for a purpose other than intended. We have a zipline in our backyard and I attached this foam padding around the base of the tree where zipliners end their journey to prevent them from slamming into bare tree bark. For that purpose, this pad has been the perfect solution.

I got this for my brother's kids hoop. It is a value for your buck and has great performance. It was easy to set up and kinda fits ok. It did provide protection for the hoop and the kids. This is a good thing to have for your kids.
